I added hot and spicy cheez it's to mine. It is in the oven so we will see! I added a little, maybe 1/4 tsp, extra garlic and onion powder, as it didn't taste quite right. I didn't add the bagel chips either. I never had it that way as a kid, and no nuts. I forgot to add some pecans.

We don't use bleach and never will use bleach. Bleached is just the white part of the grain (endosperm). Unbleached is using two parts of the grain (endosperm and germ) and whole wheat is using all three including the bran. However we still separate the three parts and put them back in later. The reason bleached is better is because it stores longer and will cook different for most applications. We add enrichments to bleached flour that is lost when we don't include the Germ. We add a very small amount of bromate to age the flour so we don't have tens of millions of tons of flour sitting in bins rotting away. What I mean by small is a box about the size of a roll on suitcase for every 200 tons of flour. This has been done for about a hundred years now. Some flour mill use a chlorine type gas (invented over a 100 years ago) to help kill off bacteria and as a aging processes but honestly it's very rare and only use for cake type mixes because is dangerous for the plant employees. It's called "bleached" simply because we go through extra milling and sifting processes to separate the white part of the grain
