I've kinda shifted (firearm) interests over the last 1.5 years away from the cans and now looking at what people are talking about/buying, yea I'd agree it seems most people are going that way. I tend to think it's more marketing/pricing as well as deadair kinda falling out of favor among the fanatics. I stand by the xeno being a great mount. I still run them on my rifles and have tons of rounds through/with them so far.

I went with the Keymo because I am tucking my suppressor under the hand guard. It is definitely longer and heavier though so as he said in the video it depends on what is important to you.

Mine has been working great. I've been playing with a red dot on it, but the Vortex Strike Eagle 5-25 56 really hits the sweet spot. The red dot is surprisingly good at 200 and 400 yards. I plan to mount the scope at 12 o'clock and the red dot at 45 degrees. I also upgraded the rubber pad on the end of the stock to a much more padded one from magpul. That made a HUGE difference in the felt recoil on my bony shoulder. Last comment on this rifle is that the muzzle brake is very aggressive so get a good pair of electronic earmuffs, and apologize to the guy in the next stall ahead of time.

I just bought this. I have a few new-to-silencer questions: 1) It’s safe to shoot anything smaller than 45? I have 9mm, 22lr, 40, and 357 sig. 2) do you need special ammo or can you shoot any of your regular range ammo through it?

HOLD ON A MIN ! It is a big deal when you spend $1000.00 on a can and then the treads are bad or have to be sent back to be retreated. Don’t you think that’s like quality control that should be well CONTROLLED? Maybe it’s the treads on your gun what not but if you sent it back to them they fixed it ya that IS A BIG DEAL. ITS NOT CHEEP AND IT TAKES A LIFE TIME TO GET ONE ALSO HAVE TO PAY 2-$300.00 to shit bags we should not have to give our money to. BIG DEAL ALL THE WAY AROUND sorry for sounding like a little baby but I believe what I said is true.

I guess that ultimately depends on your system/skills, but regardless I want to make my ammo as consistent as I can that way I know when I miss I'm the reason, not my ammo. Personally I load most of my ammo for PRS matches. I want as accurate of a rifle as I can have that way I can more trust that the impact I saw was close to the center of my cone of fire and make an accurate correction if needed.

I strongly advise against the h59 reticle. It's super busy and honestly unless your a mil guy who's used to it, I'd strongly strongly urge against it. Way too busy and more complicated then a PR2. As far as mount, it's a 0 MOA mount but I have a 20 MOA rail machined into my action.

I have a 455 that I bought used and upon getting it I found out why the guy never shot it. The bolt was horrible, binding, and you had to put real force to cycle. The guy that sold it to me said it just needed to break in. I knew there was no warranty on it but contacted CZ about any incite they might be able to give me on if they had come across this problem before. In the meantime I checked it out myself and found that the firing pin was dragging on the bolt locking sear so hard that it was scraping metal off the pin. I noticed there was a rise in the pin, about 1/32" that I didnt see in any pictures on the net. I tried stoning the pin but after 8 hours I was no closer. I figured I can buy a new pin if I screw it up so I took it out to my bench grinder and took off that rise on the pin. I tried it again, without stoning, and it was way better. I took the pin out and stoned it again, polishing it to a mirror finish. Walla!! I now had a smooth bolt and the lock sear worked perfect. CZ's customer service didnt impress me at all. I told them that I was not looking for warranty but just some incite. Right now it has been 4 months since I contacted them and still nothing. Listening to your story reaffirms my thought that CZ customer service is severely lacking. I know this problem has probably happened to others that purchased a 455 and hope my post benefits them.

@ 2:38 in he states 20 inch pounds, this should be 20 ft pounds. He didn't stress this enough, Don't use a wrench, you must use a deep 3/4" socket for the Cam-Loc to barrel adapter. A box end or open end wrench will roll, messing up the finish and getting a little stuck.

I have two obsidian 45s. I received my first one in 2017. I've shot 45, 9mm, 22, 300 blk, and 223/556 using 45 end cap. It's by far the best suppressor I've used that was modular and multi-caliber. I've had one baffle strike on the end cap when I put it on my 300 blk out without removing the spring and installing the spacer. I have 0 complaints. Other people may have a different opinion about this suppressor, and they have that right. I'm just sharing mine. The baffles are easy to clean, and the device is very durable. I've also fired many rounds through them on full auto with no errors and very little back pressure.

XL750 is my press of choice. The small amount of money invested will keep you sane. I have Hornady AP’s and I have Dillion xl750’s and if given the choice to use one or the other it’s the Dillion. I did not sell my Hornady’s they still have a place on my bench and in my heart. I have never had to request anything from Dillion but I will say Hornady service has been outstanding and they really are no bullshit service and back up their product, they have been great even for stuff that was user error.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but the keymo does extend the length of your suppressor, however if you are using a keymo muzzle device you can pin and weld to a 13.9 and be legal length, and then because the suppressor mounts further back you’d actually have a shorter overall length than a 14.5 pin and weld with a different system.

Thanks for the video! Gonna watch part 2&3 next. FWIW, I got the Giraud Trimmer 2 years ago and IMO they are different animals. I ended up getting the RT1500 anyway and set it up for 300blk last night and am busy experimenting with it. I will also be trimming 223 and 308 with it. The Giraud gives the brass quite an aggressive chamfer which I‘m not really comfortable with on my autoloading brass due to how it might affect crimping etc. (granted, I didn’t thoroughly test the differences) The Giraud is probably the better tool if you‘re loading for bolt actions or uncrimped precision ammo and it is definitely fast and high volume. But like you said, you’re still handling the brass multiple times. I‘m also getting an RL1100 in addition to my XL650 soon because while the Super Swage 600 is fast for swaging primer pockets, it’s just not fast enough for me if I want to do thousands at a time and be sure that all are done. These next few weeks I‘ll find out how the rt1500 performa and if I want to keep my Giraud. I may just keep it set up for my bolt action ammo

I'm just getting into suppressors. I was told the LAHAR-30L runs a 1.38x24 Hub Mounting System. The Wilson Combat Suppressor Ready Muzzle Break only shows External Thread description as 24mm x 1.5 pitch. Is Wilson Combat being proprietary so all I can use is their suppressor? This would kinda suck cause I'm getting discouraged with their 300 HAM'R Hunter.

Thanks a lot for this vid! Is this acceptable for mixed brass, like range pickup? I was really confused by all the talk of shoulder bumping I’ve been reading about. I’m just going for plinking ammo.
@Bisley1
@Bisley1 5 ай бұрын
Yes, for mixed headstamp range brass plinking ammo you just need it bumped to within spec and be sure not to go near max charge on your powder because case volumes will vary and what might not cause overpressure in one brand, may do so in another. For more accuracy you‘ll want to sort headstamps and be sure to shoulder bump and trim to the same length every time. But fot blinking, you just need a case gauge if you don’t have something like the hornady bullet comperator bushings etc.

@Transmissions
@Transmissions 5 ай бұрын
@@Bisley1 Thank you! This is all for plinking. Sometimes its hard to find a straightforward answer. I'm just going to FL size and then trim/size to spec. Does that sound proper? As far as charge, I definitely to try shy away from anywhere close to max. I mostly load subs in 300BLK and 9mm. 223 is where I have to be careful.
