The oval is 190 m (620 ft) by 125 m (410 ft), the pitch is ~20m (22 yd) long, so potentially, the longest part of the ground is 85m - 10m for half the pitch, so ~75m to the nearest stump. IT might be a little less than 70m but it was a quick estimation by the commentator Bill Lawry. Certainly accurate enough for the broadcast. I'm sure someone with the right technology could get a more accurate figue, if they really wanted.

Aur agar batsman ki baat kare ga to ponting is 1000 times better than rohit. Rohit has total 48 int. centuries. Jaha ponting ki 71 centuries haay

It wasn't even his catches that made him so valuable. He was so dangerous in the field that nobody would try and steal runs off him. He was probably worth 30-40 runs in a one day innings. You know how much money he would have playing baseball as maybe a short stop?
