It may be a trope, but I became addicted to Asian dramas because of how the mean 2nd lead (male or female) always gets "punished" in some way or other, be it by being humiliated, made an example of, or just plain having justice be done. So many American dramas (and I'm born in the United States and am 66 years old) don't have this. There is no "punishment" or "justice" done to those who do wrong things, etc.. This is why I no longer watch much American television except for traffic and the weather for my area. I thank God for these Asian dramas. Thank you for reading.
