It's coming along nicely! I love that the new bridge over the CT. river is operational now too so there's very little traffic to deal with at the station.

@@Island_Line_Rail_Productions Yes! There’s actually a second line they just rehabilitated for when the new station opens. I’m guessing they used that one.
@owentherailfan56410 күн бұрын

@Imrfilms10 күн бұрын
I'm not sure. Seems almost like when they were building the train and backing up, it popped it off the rails.
@newenglandproductions30714 күн бұрын
What I heared on the article was that the last freight cars were left uncoupled while the train was departing and it caused the derailment.
@shijoejoseph201119 күн бұрын
They entered and rode that tunnel for all eternity. The blinking beacon was hopeful and frustrating because the closer they reached it, the farther away and unreachable it appeared. They cried for help but all they could hear was a distant rumble of the bellowing beast.

I wonder if there is Lime in it. I'm a trucker. I've hauled a lot of lime. You know the mineral mined from a mountain? My last load of it went to Orlando, FL. I had been there several times over the years. There were literally 1000's of these huge sacks of lime stacked in that warehouse. This time I thought I would play a trick on the fork lift driver unloading my trailer. I said, "hey man, I've got a half a load of corn mill, where's your corn mill warehouse at?" He said, " we don't have a corn mill warehouse." I told him I was joking. WHERE WAS I??? You might ask?? FRITO-LAY ORLANDO, FLORIDA I DON'T THINK THERE IS CORN IN THEIR "ANYTHING."

An Amtrak launched off the overpass onto some cars on the Interstate back in December of 2017 near Olympia, Washington. I can't help it, but this tidbit I have to share from the Seattle Times article, a mean tweet from then President Trump: "The train accident that just occurred in DuPont, WA shows more than ever why our soon to be submitted infrastructure plan must be approved quickly. Seven trillion dollars spent in the Middle East while our roads, bridges, tunnels, railways (and more) crumble! Not for long! 10:41 AM · Dec 18, 2017" Crickets, again

Isn’t there a certain rule or something about how close you can get to a live running line if you’re filming trains in the US??
@Imrfilms2 ай бұрын
Yes. Generally it's 15 feet, though some lines have their own rules for certain lines or certain train. (IE - UP4014 - Bigboy requires a 25 foot distance.)
