You are a shame, only fishing with air thanks. You don't have a single video doing it in a sporty way, freediving. Maybe you will want to try something actually challenging sometimes.

we kill everyone we see! not nearly as many now but every now and then on private reefs we see a few I almost wish we had a few more with how good they taste but im also glad that we have kicked them out of town!

Hello, my name is Delaney Adams and I am currently studying giant manta rays in the Caribbean through an internship with NOAA Fisheries. We are trying to learn more about their distribution in the Caribbean, and I would love to get some more information about your encounter. Would you be willing to provide: date of this sighting, the sighting location in coordinates (this may be a geotag with the device you used to take the video), and an estimate of the size of the animal? If you would like to share this information, you can reply directly here, or send me an email at [email protected]. The information you provide will help us learn more about this threatened species. Thanks!

lionfish has 17 venomous spines. How can any fish it that without being shredded inside?
@russg18016 жыл бұрын
Of course, Mother Nature could never see fit to populate a reef with something attractive, good-eating, and a great game fish in those kinds of numbers, now would she? Imagine if these were all ten or twenty pound drums, grouper, green dolphin, or small yellowfin just waiting for an angler to drag some kind of surface lure past them. No, we couldn't get an 'invasive species' like that; we had to get a total PoS!

take a free dive course... connect with your mind body and soul.... be constructive..... kill lionfish it´s a plage ^!!! this is so sad to watch.... even with a tank you miss a 15 kg amberjack.... means you are not fully living the moment "it´s easy" concentrate and do better and bring one or 2 for family and friends.... share.! but most essential is to respect the ocean. and all is life. peace

Luke Lucas why use speargun and a tank when you can throw net or nuke them all out? You are obviously not the sharpest knife in a drawer, despite your poor attempt at sarcasm here. Spearfishing is supposed to be a sport, where you push your boundaries and test your limits, giving a fish a chance to survive. Any dickhead can go down with a tank and set up an ambush, but only a loser will present it as an achievement.

This is quite a wild invasion. Heading to Honduras in a couple weeks to help the reefs get rid of this pest. Our initial intention for the trip was to collect lobsters and conch but after doing a bit more research we've completely switched our plan. We'll be preparing them ceviche style and a la plancha

this shit fish is endlesssss ??? do they fuck 24x7 !!!!!!!!!!!! OMG !!!
@alexisgrunden15567 жыл бұрын
Not 24x7, but they do start early, and in the warm waters around Florida, they can breed pretty much year-round, so long as they have enough food. They also don't have any natural predators here in the Atlantic, so what gets born doesn't get picked off or thinned out unless humans step in.
@ChechoCambro288 жыл бұрын

@jdbeach29 жыл бұрын
Bero Rodriguez I have a commercial license and I do sell them. They can no longer be sold to aquariums in Florida by law because of the catastrophic effect they have had on Florida reefs.
@rickmanseau59578 жыл бұрын
It is NOT done for sport but rather to try and keep the ecology in balance. Lionfish are invaders that are destroying the reef system. It is hoped that the native predators figure out that they are food and begin to hunt them on their own. Hand feeding them to other wildlife only 'teaches' them to associate divers with free food. Lionfish produce 20-30,000 every four days if they are in an area where there is plenty of food. They eat pretty much anything up to half their size. Down here they have been eating so much their livers are swollen.
