Very true that houses of this magnitude can get costly for utilities. This particular one though really is only heating and cooling 2 floors since the terrace level is only a foyer and not fully finished out. Makes it a little better if not using the full lower level. Company I got the lift from is local to my area, they were called GregSmithEquipment in Buford GA but I think they got bought out in the past years and changed its name. Both lifts, installed and the garage door conversion ran about $10k total so not bad. The garage door was done by AAron Garages again based in Buford GA. See a standard garage door has the motor up center on the ceiling and hangs too low for the lifts. The new garage motor is mounted on the side of the garage door and is called a highlift garage motor so that the garage door can go all the way up snug to the ceiling. Hey sorry to hear you are running into this issue as well. Sabrina at Tamron support helped me out big time. If you have a receipt from less than 5 years ago, they should service it under warranty. [email protected]. Contact her and see about sending yours in. The first time mine did this, I sent it in and it was a total waste of time. They just cleaned it and sent back without fixing anything. It ended up immediately having the same issue but once I got in contact with Sabrina, she handled the whole repair process and they did a big overhaul on it. They now have a gen 2 of this lens and I think they actually changed out components to match the new gen is my understanding. I have not had any issues with it since and I use mine almost daily for work. Good luck!
