It is properly called the S-119 Radio System. "Line" was never a term used by Eldico or REL Reliant. The term never appears in any of the Radio's extensive manuals nor advertising. There is no demonstrable reason to assert the quality of construction was inferior to Collins. The cabinets are different, and the Collins panel is arguably more "elegant". But compare the radios themselves, and it becomes a very difficult argument to make objectively. IMHO the power supply is less than wonderful, with a 150 watt 15K bleeder resistor generating far too much heat. Somethings seem quirky just because they are unfamiliar - like calling anti-vox "QT". But reading the manuals sorts that out. W6WUH
