Thanks for the review! But in regards to the f2pfirendlyness, I think the game is a real mixed bag... It's nice that we get a ton of pulls, but we also actually need them, since the game puts a huge focus on getting a lot of dupes and getting high stats. (You need 10 dupes to max a character, the improvements from dupes are VERY significant, and if you are even 1 "combat power" lower than the opponent it puts you at a huge disadvantage on PvE. The impact of CP is a bit decreased on PvP, but... Otherwise, this is still a gacha PvP, which means that f2p and low spenders are have basically no chance to compete with high spenders, specially with how much the game values dupes. But probably most notably... Two of the top tier characters are locked behind a paywall. One of them requires you to spend 150 USD to get even a single copy. The other is much cheaper, since the first copy goes for just 1 USD, but... Dupes are on an incresingly expensive step-up banner, and once you get your first copy a timer starts counting down, and if you don't buy all dupes withim two weeks they become literally impossible to obtain. And, once again, the game really values dupes, so I'm not sure if she will remain usable in the long haul if you don't get her to at least 3*. Oh, and the game locks a binch of QoL features behind a 3USD monthly subscription. Also... There is a Battle Pass (The first tiuer costs 20USD, or 25USD for both tiers) the traditional 5USD monthly pass with daily pulls, a 30 USD lifetime pass of daily pulls, and a bunch of limited time offers that pop up whenever you reach certain progression milestones. This is the gachiest gacha game I've played in a while, and the monetization is very in you face. So... I don't know. I'm having fun so far, since we are being bombarded with free pulls at the start, and perhaps it's viable to max the standard characters over time, but... I'm still worried. The Fomo created over the "1st top up character" is especially annoying. I really hope they offer an alterantive way to obtain her in the future.

I don't know if this game will last long, even after RTA is out if they continue to release demiurge heroes so strong. Demiurge heroes are SO powerful right now they are almost essential if you are a competitive player (the advantage become bigger if you can get them to 6 stars). Almost all of the top 100 comps have a demiurge at least, and most of them are 6 stars. F2p players, if they start now, unless they have godly luck, can't even dream or expect to compete in the top 100 of this game PvP realistically. PvP weight massively in f2p disfavor in Outerplane, even more than in Epic Seven in the current state of the game. And it's a shame, after the fiasco of the Gacha mileage, which was already a first blow towards F2p players...Outerplane will probably lose even more people when F2p players will realise this...

I'm just going to finish the season 2 story and then drop it, personally. I tend to eat stories slowly, but by the end of the year, I'll be done. Well, unless the hard mode doesn't have a story. Then I'll be done like next week or this weekend.

For people who look for alternatives (can recommend it to even Cypher himself,because both game lacks content creators) : Path to Nowhere - The Good / unique: darker tone / horror..semi realistic art style..excellent stories (main story,character stories,event stories...good events.. requires maximum involvement in the fight and ponder about strategy..even "blue" character can be end game clearer, 1+ year old..quality did not drop. No shard system .The Bad : stingy with stamina after a while and hard to get dupes (but not necessary for smooth progression). Nowadays its pretty common so its not really a bad point but ..avoid standard banner and its pretty grindy mid/late game. Tower of God: New World - The Good : plenty of chance to pull,relatively fair in the current gacha world. Good story. Faster progression . Typical fantasy /genshin like theme. No stamina restriction or anything..if you play for 7 hours then you play for 7 hours. The Bad: immense amount of dupes needed to max out a character..10 for sure ( I myself don't know I never managed to fully max out anything but unless you are a min max wanna be on leaderboard person it won't be needed . Shard system is major part of the game. There are good and bad aspects but at the end of the day, there is something common in both. The Devs actually give a fuck.

They are trying to do this,because the game is dead sadly,it makes very little money.This was a last ditch effort to make some money,didnt work,its over.We probably see the shutdown notice in March at max.

I imagine when most people read the notes and find out that they are not mentioning mileage changes at all they just click uninstall and go find another game. It sucks because this was a mini anni event and they made it such a sour event rather than a anni. I wont be coming back to this game.

Enjoy whatever game you go to dude. Hopefully you can like deliver those game developers kids and be the soul train they have food on the table. The game developers do not owe you or any other player a god damn thing. It didn't matter if you create content, or pay hundreds of thousands of dollars... they still don't owe you shit. It's smile gates game they can do what they want and even with the changes this is by far one of the most friendly F2P games I've ever played. Raid, Dragon Heir, Watcher of Realms, none of them are more free to play friendly. So if they change a little to make sure they get enough money to keep the game going then good for them. That was a very cringe and entitled first 2-3 minute rant followed by a weak "oh but I don't want you guys to boycott the game" wink wink... Might wanna work on how you word things and come off if you're scripting. If you're not scripting I might recommend it.

Damn this will be my second time quitting Outerplane. The first time was when they basically reset everything, and we had to get a star rating in dungeons with a turn limitation. I understand why they did it, 🎉but I didn't like it, and I don't like every time they release a new character its to fix something they made too OP in pvp. 2 stars are almost useless outside of make 2 or 3(outside of cliche uses), and I don't like how if you don't have certain 3 stars, you're screwed. Now, they changed pity, which is a horrible business practice

idk what it is but to me the game felt so forgettable? like nothing was fun or unique the characters are generic as fuck and so is the plot. its downgraded version of e7 but with 3d animations. played it for a day and uninstalled.
