It's a shame that CoB never rereleased these songs with better production. Trve Black Metal fans can hate me all they want for saying this: Shitty garage-quality recordings make for a shitty listening experience. Great music is great, but bad quality doesn't make it shine.

Hopefully someday we see these young demos remade with COB crew and Astia Studio! Offcourse Alexi voice have to be taken from these but wouldn't be a problem nowdays..

@@samalarie9767 I know seeing the sweeps are intimidating for sure but after lots of practice I actually got the whole song down and the sweeps are some of the funnest thing to play! Thanks to this channel for having different speeds of the songs really help out.. don’t give up and keep practicing my friend! You’ll get it 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Fun fact: Talking of The Trees and Mask of Sanity share the same middle part. I always liked this one better with the woman singing. I was 15 when I heard about IneartheD for the first time and did not even know they and COB was the same people. I only conntected the dots when I heard Mask of Sanity and remembered the interview where Alexi said they needed to fake a split in order to get out of a very bad record deal from a belgium company. Ah, the nostalgia this demo brings me

Even more fun, 5:41's riff was used again when he was recording with Impaled Naz in 2000. A lot of great riffs from this era made their rounds in his later works.
