Hungarian PM said that Ukraine was no longer a sovereign state, which is a clear message to the West that Hungary stands with Russia. But Turkey poses more of a threat to the alliance than Hungary does. Turkey gave the West a headache by conditioning Sweden and Finlands acceleration for NATO membership. Turkey wanted them to stop supporting Kurdish Militias, which most Western countries are very fond of, and Israel could use the Kurds as an ally against Iran. On the subject of Israel, Turkey has been a critic of Israel in recent months as Israel defended itself against Iran and its proxies. As for Ukraine, Turkey remained neutral in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, but it did not go as planned for Turkey as expected because now Turkey is becoming more of an ally to Russia than the West, as Turkey refuses to join Western sanctions imposed on Russia. Another reason is because Iran supplied kamikaze drones to Russia to use against Ukraine, but not just to show support to Russia, but also to test the effectiveness of its drones to supply to Iran's powerful proxies including Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthi rebels. There's a lot more detail than this, but I'm only going to go over one more point. And that is, Turkey was one of the 2 NATO nations to give the West a headache when it came to submitting a bid to integrate Sweden and Finland into NATO. The reason was because Turkey opposed the Kurds, and Israel sees the Kurds as a potential ally to counter Iran in the case of a conflict.
