Im not sure why but I was never a fan of the orangeish coloration of albino. Ever since getting my albino superconda hoggie iv really come to appreciate that color. Crimson and clementine are gorgeous!

@@C-Serpents-Exotic-Snakes Oh yeah I know. I got into hoggies cause I deemed them safe for handling for my 4 year old. I ended up falling in love with them and 2 years later I have 3 and want to try breeding once my 2nd and 3rd are ready. I would get more if I had the space but my space is maxxed out for reptiles right now. I honestly think my next snake with be a black headed python in a year or two.

How much weight can a 6-year-old male sand boa reach? At this age, does he feed on adult mice or baby mice?

@@nelsonlinon It can vary on weight depending on his actual size but usually they can get to 75g to 130g up to 190g for exceptionally large ones! He should be able to eat hopper to large mice easily.

Congratulations on the new hoggies, they look great. I could be wrong about this but I've read from multiple sources that the white side effect comes from the conda gene. I know I've heard Emily from Snake Discovery say that multiple times.

Yes there’s a definite feeling of excitement and apprehension in that she’s a first time mom (that I know of) and her having a healthy litter🤞but I’m pretty excited nonetheless! I watch guys like you who have been successful in breeding snakes so I’m soaking in as much knowledge as possible 😎

@@Avenges It could be yes because it’s enough room to move around but still small enough that they feel secure. In the wild areas of Africa they use termite mounds or burrows of other animals to squeeze into-they like it tight but comfortable.

@@Justin.HeterodonHome The weight of the container means nothing, look at the previous video on weight and you’ll see that the container is empty on the scale and then once the snakes are in then it acutely relays the weight. The glass containers threw me off for a second because they obviously will have weight to them.

@@ClearBrookExotics I was wondering as keeping certain snakes can vary from state to state. Hogs are mildly venomous as you know and I found a breeder that sells West African gaboon vipers but in Florida you have to have a permit from FWC to keep them and it’s Alot of hoops to go through! Not to mention wanting a snake that can kill you either but they are amazingly beautiful. I don’t see too many videos of people keeping and breeding Black milks like you on here so I’m glad you are on here 😎

Funny enough, a video of a Kenyan sand boa is what lead me to get my first western hognose snake. For some reason I thought "Oh, that's a Western Hognose snake huh? I wonder what it takes to care for them." 6 months of research later and I never bothered to double check the SPECIES of snake in the video, lol! I wouldn't change anything though. Love my hognose snakes.

I have them in their own separate tubs and just put them together for video purposes but otherwise they are pretty chill around each other. I do throw a male in with a female for breeding purposes and they do fine. But they can stress each other out if kept together for too long though.

I really like the color/pattern of "normal" but line-bred-for-color hognose. Saying that probably sounds like blasphemy to some hognose breeders.

Nah you’re good, I get what you’re saying and this snake’s mother was a purple line Luecistic and the dad was 100% albino so the babies he sired are basically normal with hets for Lucy and albino and the red color inherited from this guy 👍 thanks for your comment.

shes a pretty sand boba, mine isnt quite as large yet, she went on a mini hungry strike for 2.5 months but dropping her food down to smaller sizes again has her eating again, even though she was eating the fuzzies
