Hello, I am having an issue where I cant seem to fit my Soligor Ef-s lens on my 800D. Both the body and the lens mount are flawless without any damage, but the lenses cant seem to fit. I cant turn the lens to mount properly. They just wont turn. I have never dropped them neither hit them. Other lenses are mounting fine on the body. Can you please suggest any advice on how to proceed?

I just bought a Canon 24-105mm f/l L IS USM lens, just under $300, and everything works on it but the autofocus. I don't get any communication errors since I tried the lens on at least 7 cameras I have access to, and it does the same thing in AF mode on the lens. There is no fungus or scratches on any glass area on this lens. In one test I felt something hit my finger, which looked like a piece of plastic. It was very small, and it got away from me. I do get the whizzing noise in AF but no movement showing in the window on top of the lens when the shutter is pressed. I don't think it is that hard to fix because I have in the past fixed some of my other cameras and lenses. Seeing the motor mechanism looks pretty easy to replace. I just have to find that part. So far I have only seen various flex cables and shutter modular, but no autofocus assembly online. If you could any help would be appreciated in finding one.

@@leeo.alexander2324 I wish I could help more, but my only recommendation would be to check out AliExpress for replacement parts specifically for that lens. Alternatively if you're in a rush (don't want to wait for shipping from China), you might be able to find a duplicate 'for parts' damaged lens on Facebook marketplace you could scavenge parts from? And perhaps there's a teardown video for that lens on KZbin to check out to help with the reassembly (but it seems you already know your way around the lens internals 👍)? Something to note, prime lenses are far easier to work on than zoom lenses (due to so much working in harmony). Good luck with the repairs, I hope AliExpress has what you need.

Perhaps overkill and beyond what many IKEA buyers could do. However, IKEA should improve the design and instructions. I also experienced the flimsy drawer slide installation. I think a previous version of this unit was much better. Thank you for the video.

I want to use the Helmer to store nail polish, but I've seen collectors end up with broken drawer bottoms after a while. I assume it's due to the weight of 60-ish bottles of polish pushing down on that thin sheet of metal. Any thoughts of how to shore up and therefore prevent sagging/broken Helmer drawer bottoms?? Thanks much!

*What's the thickness of metal plates used in this IKEA Helmer Drawer (in mm)?* 🌟 I have heard that this is *very fragile & plates bend easily.* I will not appreciate it *if it's anywhere below 1mm. 👍*
@BenDunlop

It's thin metal, as long as you fold the metal correctly when assembling, it is a great set of drawers. Highly recommend riveting, as it great improves the stability of them. If you search on KZbin, a few people have 'how-to's' on turning the Helmer into drawers for a workshop/garage
