One kept hoping for some Taoist discussion, such as the spontaneity and irreverence discourses of Zhuangzi, some wu wei ideal of effortlessness. The topics and subjects were very heavy in judgment, in a Confucian projection of wanting to prescribe harmony atop nature, which is already harmonious. Very clingy, prescriptive, projective. One does not find the 'silent middle' of American politics to be particularly elevated, but rather weak and attached. Therein lies the middle classes with their mortgages and retirement plans and silliness. Success stemming from having no opinion of their own, but strong peripheral vision, mirroring one another, yeah? This was a Christian discussion, however, which, for its genre, was fairly common. We need to come together as communities so we can all think like heavy rocks, unmoving and self-assured. If someone doesn't think like us, we will know they are damaged. Then we can send them to be re-educated. Because they have been hurt, as there was not enough bricks left for them after we built our large houses and not enough food after we ate everything we could find.

His facial resemblance to Terence Mckenna is uncanny.
