Congrats on reaching 500 subscribers! Interesting to see this parkrun as I grew up in Gloucester.

It's odd how a five minute 16 second pace looks like seven or eight minutes through the camera. When I was young and ran that fast, it felt incredibly quick. Doesn't look like too cold a day, our last race was 20 Fahrenheit with windchill taking it down to 5°.

Marvellous. In ten years time the AI will be able to analyse the breathing on the soundtrack and determine which side of the lactate threshold the runner is and whether, as well as gradient, the runner has a head or tail wind ;)

why would somebody not finish a parkrun?

That was an unusually exciting race (or Parkrun)! Good sidestepping technique to make your way through the lapped runners.

It captures the atmosphere nicely. The ground is a lot more churned up than the previous Saturday. Hopefully it doesn't get so bad that it needs to be cancelled.

I'm always mildly boggled that course ever got approved, unless it's dry it's utterly terrifying! I would be wrangling the world's dimmest dog through this trees and stay upright , while people with Actual Athletic Prospects tried to safely make their way around us.... Ugh flashbacks!!

Amazing run on such a challenging course. That park walker wasn't the most considerate on the first lap, but no harm done.

Silverstone was insane conditions too. I think I've only ever had worse conditions once - in 19 years of racing! WELL DONE, the grit is really captured in these pics and videos!

Cheers Matt, been waiting to see the video! I thought it was one of the toughest courses I’ve done, considering the loops, the trail section and path width. (Plus the odd runner with noise cancelling headphones) Great to race/run with you!

Absolutely horrific parkrun course - I just don’t see how they can have multiple loops and sections which are only wide enough for 1 person.
