Bruce was a good friend of mine, He was in my local band in the San Fernando Valley in th late 80's. He gave n=me his record collection before moving to the Philippines... He truly is missed. RIP Mr. Conte... Thank you for making this video...

I miss Stevie something terribly. Music isn't anything like it used to be. Don't know where it's headed but it's not sounding good. I feel like we should go back to our roots.

I had a huge drinking problem throughout my guitar career. It sucked! I wouldn't listen to anyone say how much better I sounded sober.. because I didn't like hearing that. And one time I saw it on a live recording.. how slurry and draggy it sounded.. then I knew. I'm 8 years sober now, but I don't play anymore. It's a trigger, there's a lot of shame. I abused it for 25 years, And with drugs. It's devastating, I also don't have the same goals anymore or play in bands. Playing in rock bands at age 15 and throughout my 20's and into 30's.. you have to be careful out there.. the drugs, the alcohol are just given to you free! And I didn't say no. Don't be like me. Edit: I'll also say, I know there's people out there that can drink a few beers and stop and be fine. I'm the kind that can't. There's a difference. It's like an allergy. It always got outta control. But anyways.. just my short story. Thanks for reading.

I just hit 10 months playing the guitar and brother I feel like I was reborn..never too late to be on the righteous path. This is very far away from what I'm currently capable of, but I'm so interested in the minds that make the music that moves my soul. It feels like works of art like this keep the world from coming unglued and going into disarray. Thanks for the inspiration.

what a GENIUS. i remember travelling through nawlins on my first trip away from home as just a young, doe-eyed 19yr old guitarist, and stumbling across the Maple Leaf bar for the first time i saw Big D playing with the absolute monster gentlemen...such wonderful musical vocabulary, smoothest playing i'd ever heard...like someone with the melodic refinement of BB King, the r'n'b lexicon of jimi hendrix, and putting it all to a modern scene with jazzy extensions and SUPER tasteful solos. and you bet he can sit in that pocket like its nothing! i honestly couldn't believe it! i felt so lucky to be there, witnessing this moment. my life as a musician, my life-long appreciation for guitar had found its zenith! so of course i pluck up the courage to go say hi and thanks at the end of the gig. i said "WOW man that was like the best thing i've ever heard!" he says "hehehe, thaynks man" i said "i'm only here a week, where are you playing next?" he says "hehehe, thaynks man" absolute legend <3
