I'm wanting to order a .75 with a mesh seat . I'm 5' 10" and 195 lbs. Would you recommend the 22" seat post ? I also heard some hunters complain about the mesh seat . They say they need to sit in a slouch position to keep from feeling the rear frame of the seat . Have you experience this issue ? Thanks, Les

any tips for people who have had the doubles kick out or not set flush to the tree (w all 4 stand off bolts)?
@Stache.squatch Жыл бұрын
Yes! I have some tech tips posted to the LWCG Instagram. It is essential to get the strap parallel to the ground (perpendicular to the tree) and get all the slack out. Amsteel is not a good option for them, stick with buckleless or cam buckles. It’s also important to “set” the stick. When on the lower step, or the cable aider, lightly hop your weight down to set the stick!

Always hang your stand below your linesman belt. Detaching your linesman belt and reattaching it is incredibly dangerous. Also (and im not trying to be a know it all but...) your stand should be set before ever stepping onto it with your full weight. Cam that stand into the tree while tightening your straps. You were not attached to the tree while stepping onto the stand which is unsafe. You toe hooked your stand while not attached to the tree which is incredibly unsafe. Everyone watching: Always be attached to the tree while hanging a tree stand
@Stache.squatch Жыл бұрын
Appreciate the comment. I cammed the stand as seen before stepping up. In the cut of the video my linemans was transferred to a tether while standing on top step. While I recommend to others they carry two belts so they do not need to disconnect while making that change, I myself take that risk. Then after clipping in to tether I make the step up and toe hook which is essential to having your stand tight to the tree. Again, I’m well aware stepping down onto the stand is safest practice, this is what I myself do to maximize my setup. It’s not every setup that I do this method, but when extra feet are needed, I do. Again a risk I assume to myself and only those very well versed and comfortable doing so. Safe hunting and good luck.

@Stache.squatch Жыл бұрын
I found that the mesh seat made a big difference on long sits like my all day hunt I killed on during illinois. As far as size goes, I like the .75 as the slightly narrower profile slips through thickets just a taste better. Ultimately you can’t go wrong with any of them, I use all a lot, but if I could only pick one at my size, it’s the .75
