This has nothing to do with Berlin school music. Berlin school has always been 100% analogue. This is 200% digital, therefore losing all essence of Berlin Music mood.

Music is meant to be listened to, not analyzed. Music is created as the heart dictates, not according to prescribed norms.

The german wikipedia defines the style of Berlin School as "characterized by long pieces with repetitive but continuously modified structures (sequences), spherical pads, hypnotic rythms and distinctive soli.". But not as "has to be 100% analogue" ... this might be your personal definition and taste, but for my taste (and i've been grown up during that era) this is a masterpiece that represents perfectly the style, as well as the mood and atmosphere.

@@mycase04 Wikipedia, for the most part, contains information (= opinions) and not knowledge (= fact). If you were born and raised during that era of Berlin school music, you should be able to distinguish between that music and the failed attempts to recreate it. For starters, it HAS to be made between 1970 and 1980, otherwise it's not BSM. Therefore, it HAS to be made with the instruments of that era (analogue). These two factors are essential for this kind of music to be characterized as BSM. Anything else is a misprint, a failed attempt. Even the band Free System Project that are using 100% analogue gear and they are supposed to be modern day ambassadors of BSM, are not, because they didn't create it between 1970 and 1980. They are just making a tribute, a hommage if you will. For the right mood to be created, it has to happen then and it has to happen with that certain gear. Otherwise it's not BSM, it's only "influenced by" BSM. Can't you people distinguish the difference between something that IS and something that PRETENDS TO BE? are you so out of touch with reality?

So simple, so nice ... Could be a Tangerine Dream album, in the heavenly style of their 70'ies work, and before they went too melody-ish and forgot their own DNA, just a bit ... In order to mesmerize you need a constancy in rhythm and sequencing, and melody only serves as a kind of backdrop: so, the other way around in comparison with 'normal' music. I'd like to know how this was made ...
