Great video ! Thank you for sharing. I have a question : We have installed the LV1 + Waves DN32 card for io. It it possible to control the all faders ( channels, groups, buses, etcà LV1 with a X32 or M32 via midi ? If yes could you lead me on how to do it ?

Hi, How do I take a song from spotify and put it in Qlab ? So that I can play or edit it ?
@DanBamberProductionServices11 ай бұрын
You could make a playlist just for that one song. But in reality you cannot edit songs without having them downloaded and inside QLab.

i am looking into airpods or an equivelant to install in the case, and wish pelican had them built in! My colleague recently had a full, very expensive pack stolen from the AV storage room in the Sheraton Hotel on Queen St in TO. NEVER leave your pack unattended, and unlocked!! This city is rotten with thieves. Coincidentally, the security cam outside storage was not working at that time. Hmmm....?
@DanBamberProductionServices2 жыл бұрын
Yeah there’s a couple of things you can do to keep it more secure. The colour of the case, having AirTags inside it and locking it at all times. Plus having it and it’s content insured! Thankfully I’ve been lucky and only had Shure 215s and a few adaptors stolen over the years.

What is powering the LED strip ?
@DanBamberProductionServices2 жыл бұрын
It’s a 5v strip powered by a few AA’s. amzn.eu/d/hoFhlFN I’ve actually changed out the strip recently to wardrobe lights as the LEDs kept getting crushed in the hinges.

This is an old 1510 copy made by duratool I think. I’d recommend buying the actual Peli versions over these cases though.

How do you like the 1535 over the 1510? Is the 1535 durable enough to take a beating when checked in? Also do you have a link to the led lights?
@DanBamberProductionServices2 жыл бұрын
It is as durable, if not more so. the extendable handle is better by a long shot. Those are cheap battery powered LED tape lights.. though they aren't in the case any longer, as I've swapped over for a new design.. Video coming soon!

You talked about Qlab talking to the LV1, I did this in 2019. You might have worked this out since you made this video but this is how I did it (from memory, so I hope I get this right). The Qlab mac is connected to the WSG network and Qlab sent scene change command using MIDI over the network. Set up a MIDI device on the Qlab using the built in Audio MIDI setup app. Did the same on the LV1 computer. On the LV1 System Inventory page, setup a MIDI control device, the network MIDI device should be on the drop down list of available MIDI devices. Macs deal with MIDI over networks natively using the Audio MIDI Setup app, if you are using a PC for the LV1 you will need to download rtpMIDI which does the same thing. The LV1 will then see and respond to the scene change messages from Qlab. I built a series of scenes on the LV1, and used the "Scope" feature to only change the parameters I want changed. I took this further with a Stream deck controlling Qlab. I had a page of cue carts programmed with LV1 scene change commands, this way I was able to cue the next track on the cue list but also change an LV1 scene, all via the same Stream deck.

in this video I'm using a DiGiGrid D, and then 64channels of Soundgrid playback from another laptop. Theres a MGB at the rental house around the corner. And I own a SQ5 & Waves Card.. which will be a future video..

How do you feel about getting a setup like that vs a regular digital mixing console? Is there much of a difference mixing this as opposed to other consoles? Considering getting my own mixing setup and this looks like a very viable option from a price standpoint. Especially with the scalability of the system!
@DanBamberProductionServices4 жыл бұрын
Hey Andi. Essentially I think of it like you would a “normal” desk. But rather than faders and screen built into one custom metal case like QL1/Pro2 etc, you have the option to place things where you would like. In terms of replacing parts you can easily swap out a screen / fader if broken etc. And gives you a more modular option if you only wanna take the laptop, server and io. Or could take 16 faders. Dual touchscreens, Streamdeck, etc.
@TheAnsgy4 жыл бұрын
@@DanBamberProductionServices Thanks for the answer :D I think I will be buying the essentials for a basic LV1 setup when I have saved enough cash 😃 Love the concept of this mixer.
