That's so awesome! I have over 4,000 tapes in my collection that I play on daily basis. I never quit using Audio Compact Cassette Tapes and never will. Especially after I managed to make them sound Louder Cleaner and Sharper than CD's and MP3's! Cassettes are the best invention for Music and All-Round Audio Reproduction! As a kid I used to watch the tape spin from Supply Reel to a Take-Up Reel as it's playing and rocking the Loud Speakers and is very fascinating to me. Been using them ever since, never stopped, playing one right now.

What Tapedeck did you use to build that DJ Player. The VU Meter and TapeCounter looks like a DENON DRM Series.

Are those heavily modified Technics Tape Deck RS-271US ? I'm guessing that screwdriver is moving the "head" up and down? Tremendous.

The point is making a statement! The point are the intricacies of the sound of the tapes, travelling back in time and revisiting a great and forgotten medium! Tape sound has much more to offer than one would think. Saturation and tape compression for instance, warm analog sound... Why so much hate about something innocent and beautiful u don't understand ?
