I just had a hair system a week ago in Miami and I thank you deeply for inspiring me to go through this journey. After watching your videos I decided to take the risk and do it and gues what? I feel like a whole new person and I am not scared of life anymore, I feel more confident and young. But most importantly I am watching your videos to know what to do with my life moving forward and how to deal with the post hair system issues such as dealing with people, guilt, envy, weird comments, etc etc. Thank you for been my mentor on this new adventure Jake!

Jumped On finasteride the first sign I was losing my hair. That is the most important thing you can do! Start early keep more of your hair. I started trt that was a mistake 4 me. It was like some1 lit a match to my hair. So I stop trt started adding .5 dutasteride and 1.25 oral minoxidil. Bro dutasteride is king!!! Finasteride don't come close 4 me anyway. The sheed on dutasteride was scary didn't get one from finasteride but I also didn't grow back lost hair on finasteride. Dutasteride brought back hair from the dead. 4 months before I started noticing real results with dutasteride compared to a year on finasteride before I noticed real results. Dutasteride works faster and better 4 me. Either 1 is better than nothing. If you're doing trt, then I would start on dutasteride, not finasteride. It blocks more dht conversion.

Good points. I am curious as to how you trim your hair in back and sides when it comes time for you to put your hair back on so it will blend properly. Also, how did you cut your system hair to fit in all over? Did you do it yourself? Crazy. Looks great!

Jake, I'm so glad you're back. I've watched all of your videos. I finally retired at age 71 and decided to re-do myself. My husband and I have been married for 25 years and he retired, too. We converted our garage to a weight training gym. Over the years my hair has gotten thinner and thinner. I decided to buy four hair pieces. Gray, blond, black, and a salt and pepper unit. When we go to the symphony, theater or opera in NYC I always act my age. I wear the gray one which is lace and high density. I notice people staring at it and I love it because it looks like a "dad toupee". I wear the blond one when we go clubbing in Atlanta. About once a month we throw pool parties for other local "wearers". That's when I wear the salt and pepper one and tape and glue it on really tight. My brother, who is a hair stylist comes to the pool parties and helps everyone get dried out. But, a few of the young guys take their hair off to swim. We started a charitable foundation to give away free hair systems to young guys who can't afford it. We pay for everything and 5 years of maintenance and new units. One guy got a major promotion simply by replacing his hair. He started losing his hair at age 18 and always hated it. We treat him as our adopted son. I rarely ever go completely bald any longer. I'm considering buying a long hair unit because I saw a young dude on Heydecke who got long hair. It looked so good. I think a man-bun is so hot looking. I haven't worm the black one yet because I'm dreading dying my bio hair. However, one of our buddies wears black over gray. We call him "skunk". My wish list is to buy one that is like your color. It looks so good on you. Thanks for all you do.

Fun part is that if wearing a system makes you a liar, then shaving it off makes you a liar too, since you are not letting your true natural horseshoe self grow up and rocking it 😅 I firmly believe that shaving your head bald is a way to hide your MPB too...

Great video with awesome tips! Jake, what’s your take on knot sealers-do they really work? Also, have you checked out the 'Lace Melt' spray from Ebin? Women often use it as an adhesive, especially around the hairline, to seamlessly blend the lace with the skin. The main advantage seems to be less residue, making it easier to clean and readjust the hairline more frequently. Do you think it’s worth buying and trying?

Ay Jake I appreciate the content bro. I’m 24 and getting my first system installed next week at a salon . Been on min and fin for 4 years with almost no regrowth (I’m a diffuse thinner). It’s now at the point where it’s extremely difficult to style and I need to take action. I’ve also had a transplant in the frontal region, so the hairline is not an issue for me thank God. I just need my density back. It’s not as good as having my bio hair, but it’s way better than looking like Mr clean at 24. I’m considering getting a second transplant later on, but honestly these things are probably better. I’m a little nervous, But I’m looking forward to having hair for the rest of my 20s. Btw, I started balding at 17 and by 19 it was BAD. The shame basically turned me into a recluse for 3 years and I avoided social events. Of course, it gave me severe depression and a sense of hopelessness. I’m very handsome and with a hat girls were always checking me out, but without the hat on, it was like I didn’t exist. I’ve tried being bald and I can’t do it. I’m doing this not for girls but for me. I believe there’s a lot more to life than hair, but it’s important to the confidence of a young man. These things look great on most people, and I know it will take a HUGE burden off my mind. Mental health is important folks! Do what you need to have a healthy mind. Thanks again Jake! Your hair system is looking great.

This is so odd that your video came at this time. I decided to start up using a system after 12 years due to a health issue. The hairdresser who specialized in that had passed since. So I purchased a unit online. My cousin had a salon and I asked if she would try cutting it in. She did. And honestly it is undetectable. And so is this second one. She had to thin it a bit as I believe the density is 120. It's amazing how someone who never did this can made a unit come out so well.

Hey Jake: I didn't really get to know your videos until a little while before you traveled. I have had a hair system for many years. I have loved your focus on making better men. If you are like me, a lot what I do for others is what I would want for myself. You discovered a lot on your journey and I really appreciate you coming back with such deep and intimate thoughts that you share about yourself. I admire your hair journey, and you are kickass. What makes you a truly handsome man however, is what comes from down deep. You will find after your tummy tuck that it won't make you feel as handsome as all the other things you are doing and discovering about yourself. All this will add to your feeling of security as you become even more handsome. I'm with you, sir.

Wow, I can hardly hear you because all my focus is on your eyes (full disclosure: I am a gay man). Amazing. I worked with a man in the early 2000s and we became good friends and neighbors for several years until he relocated in 2015. He was about 30 YO when I met him. He was probably 6'1" and perhaps 190 lbs. Over time I heard his whole story: he was 400 lbs at 9 years old, dropped out of school, had gastric bypass around 14 or 15, had a tummy tuck at 16, eventually got his GED and graduated from Univ of Georgia. After a couple years, he showed me his body naked. He had a great deal of extra skin, etc. He decided in his early 30s to have a second tummy tuck, have a gynocomastia operation, both arms (from armpit to elbow), and both legs (from crotch to knees). These were major cosmetic procedures over about 2 years. They removed something like 12+ pounds of skin (including the fat removed from his pecs and his nipples were moved). He was very content with the final results. He said it was one of the best things he ever did. No regrets. Worth the expenses.

Hey, I get where you’re coming from, but let’s focus on shifting the mindset first before worrying about the external stuff. Your body looks great, and that small detail you’re fixating on doesn’t define you. Striving for ‘perfection’ can be a slippery slope-besides, perfection is overrated. No one is drawn to ‘perfect’ people because it’s often the imperfections that make us relatable and real.
