Great advice and easy to start getting back into it. I like that these are ideas to start doing right away without needing lots of gear or special locations. Thank you for the inspiration!

Being in nature brings such a calmness to my busy life. Your videos take me to places I may never see in person, so I'm thrilled every time you drop a new post. (I also re-watch a lot of your videos.) I'm able to live vicariously through you, that once-upon-a-time dream that had of being a photographer with jaw-dropping photos like yourself! Your storytelling skills make your videos like documentaries. Yes, KZbin is frustrating, but never quit. Keep up the good work.

Never used Instagram or Twitter/X. It is obviously not just about money, as the people behind those platforms already have so much money the could never ever spend. It´s about control, addiction and political censorship and indoctrination. So you would recommend photography newcomers don´t even go to those platforms in the first place? It would be great to have an art world again, which takes place to a great part in the real world and not in the online bubble. But everyone has to make his own contribution to that.

I also really dislike how photos lose their impact when viewed on a small phone screen. Most of the photos we all take are done with high end cameras and need to be seen in a larger format to really be appreciated! I'm trying to stick to other photography based websites now as social media has all but killed photography for their platforms anyway.

Yesterday I printed one of my photos on my Canon Pro 300. As the A3+ came out of the printer I was stunned at the quality printed photo. On my monitor it was a good photo but in print it knocked my socks off. There is no other feeling like it in the world!

Well Adam, I have to 100% agree with you. I only ended up on this video because I was looking for a video to watch and your name sprung into my mind and realised I hadn't seen any of your videos on my feed for over a year (even tho I subscribe!) I thought you had stopped posting!! Hopefully it won't be so long next time. Great video by the way👍👍

I'm a follower of your channel, however, this is not a balanced review - it is totally negative!!! This the only totally negative review I have seen of this lens. It is a cheap lens for those who are on a budget, not for those who can afford primes (or close to) lenses. However, it still has some quite a few positives, and if you use tripod and nodal slider - wallah, it doesn't matter what you shoot, you should get decent images. I have just seen an extremely comprehensive review of this prior to yours. Disappointing Adam and try not to be a comedian, it doesn't suit your style :(

The social media numbers (likes, views, follower counts) have, in my opinion, an overall very negative impact on society and on the human brain. They create an hunger for attention. They lower the general quality of everything that is produced because people try to make things that do well on social media rather than things that they believe in. And the criterias for doing well on social media are often very questionable when it comes to quality. The sad reality is that for the most part, the human attention on the internet is attracted to things that are flashy, shocking, controversial, sexualized, rapidly consumable, and so on... People on the internet tend to be attracted to things that create a rapid emotional stimuli rather than things that make them think and contemplate. And obviously, algorithms have caught up on that for a long time already. That makes me think of one of my favorite Black Mirror episodes : Nosedive

If your subject doesn’t move no need to upgrade. If you shoot wildlife and are used to your DSLR getting confused by birds flying over a busy background you should be excited about the abilities of the newer cameras! 🤷♂️ Going from a 7DII and a 5DII to an R5 using adapted EF lenses I’m stunned by how well it tracks a bird across a background using its eye as the target! 🤯

First of all, I like the interpretation! Until about 40 years ago, Fine Art Photography wasn't a subject in any universities globally. The first was in Glasgow. Key in to Google - Fine Art Requirements - and you will see this is not my idea of what makes it fine Art. Basically it means that without a diploma or degree in Fine Art then officially it is not a Fine Art subject. It also means that it need not be anything special at the end of it, as much of Fine Art is just a load of junk by people who might just be taking the micky. They go through a load of trouble and years of training only to produce works a little child could do. An image might match the definition of Fine Art but without the qualification a person isn't officially a Fine Art artist.

Hi, I heard from a professional commercial printer graphic that Canon printers, after 2 years, are losing the yellow colour and are fading. And this person recommended HP printer because of that issue. What is your opinion? Thank you

More than sensor size (but related to it)something that is not mentioned here (but I suppose implied) is pixel size. It is crucial for image quality: the smaller the pixels, the less light they gather, the more amplification they require, the more degraded the image get, including dynamic range.

following some research and your very informative video, I decided to take the plunge and invest in a pro 300. Ordered on Boxing day directly from Canon, a week on, the printer hasn't arrived getting hold of Canon support over the past week has been near on impossible, apparently they have an internal issue and cannot say when my order would be delivered. Shocking support, very disappointed in Canon and will probably now go and buy a rival printer, maybe the Epson et-8550...

This was really fantastic and enjoyable. You are capturing what I think we all enjoy when we go out to shoot landscape, which is more than just the final images. It also so much includes the experience (aspirational and therapeutic), and your perspective really emphasizes that while also providing an inspirational and inclusive backdrop. Thank you!

Nice one but please let everybody Upgrade as they wish. This gives me plenty of opportunity to snatch some great deals on used top notch glass and camera bodies. I e.g. bought a D810 and some fast zooms a while ago for a reasonable price. It serves me very well for ICM and landscape due to the low iso.
