If you have a case on you will have to take it off, then there should be a small button on the side that you press. That is how I always did it

Does the display tilt down like that when turned downwards ( it will be a weird feature if it is really a feature ! ) or the display is slightly broken & is hanging from one side ?

Sorry I haven't been able to respond but the phone was made in 2016 and getting old and the screen started falling off (so it's broken)
