Hey there, i am planning to change my omen 30L ( i7 10thgen + rtx3080) to the new ryzen7 5700x3D, so i am thinking of using the same motherboard because it supports ryzen 5000 series. But i want to know, is the motherboard good? Sorry im kinda new into this stuff. And I also changed my cooler to noctua 92mm cooler, and i have been using 2 fan on the cooler. But the i/o cover seems to take a lot of space. Do you think i can put 2 fans on it? Thank u in advance bro

I recently upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 7 with a Wraith Max cooler and am looking to install it on this motherboard. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find compatible mounting brackets or standoffs that allow me to attach the cooler properly.

I'm gonna be upgrading the RAM in this laptop soon and figured I'd just go ahead and replace the thermal paste and possibly thermal pads as well. Thanks for the video!

Amazing laptop for price to performance. Bought it used in like new condition for 550 before tax off ebay! I do use a rtx 3090 in my main pc but to anyone wary of amd just know this is a beast mobile gpu. On Par (within 3-5 percent) of a desktop 6600xt but 10 gb of vram. Couldn't recommend more for around 500-550. Should serve me well on my travels.

i have the hp omen 30l it had a 3060 ti i upgraded the gpu to a 4070 ti super and cpu i have the cpu to AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D 8-Core Processor whats a good motherboard that would fit this case any good suggestions to get better speed to have my gpu cpu running better without restrictions

Why not change the chassi! Hu want lenovo branding? Now u got 1 fan with blowing air out and heat in the front, no cooling for 3.5" disks. Cooling sucks. put 100 bucks and would get a nice chassis. I watercooled that chassis but cheap as costumer. Nothing good in that chassis or what I comes with Lenovo t5/t6/t7 all sucks, take out the CPU and CPU that's it maybe m2 disks but nothing more buddies.

just curious are you able to enable SAM or Rebar with your GPU? I've read online people with AMD and Nvidia GPU's are unable to access/enable rebar. With Lenovo Legion they are only available with their laptop products.

Not the easyest case to build in but must disagree with the bottom fans. I did fit two basic corsair fans with grills in there in my own build but for some it might be actually easier to do before adding the cpu cooler to it's place.

My Omen 30L with Ryzen 7 3700x temps consistently runs 67 C to 70C at idle, lower to mid 70's with multiple tabs open, mid to high 70's playing Warcraft. With the RTX 2060 in it, I get low 200's to 230ish fps in cities and open areas, and 300+ in dungeons. This is with an older 60 Hz monitor @ 1080p. I'm looking to replace this monitor with a 144 Hz model. I don't know how people say their cpu average idle temps are in the 40's to 50's range. I'm still using the stock cooler and fan, but hope to upgrade to an AIO soon, plus an additional fan in the bottom to draw in more fresh air. HP skimps on the choice of stock cooler and thermal paste.

One of the best gaming laptops I've seen. Nvidia fanboys will avoid, but everyone else will acknowledge the quality. Seems like they could have made the case thicker for better cooling, and added an Ethernet port, but otherwise it's rock solid. In fact, the 240 Hz screen is overkill.

Not sure why someone would buy a Lenovo Legion, than put in a MSI MB, and liquid cooling. I built a PC from scratch for 2k with a I9 16core. I used EVGA PS, MB, same Graphics card. Only difference is mine is white case and doesn't have Lenovo on it and have 3x 1tb Samsung 990 EVO PCIe.

What an absolute joke.. to replace a faulty crap quality water cooler they supply with this garbage tower you need to replace the whole board because the geniuses took a page out of apple disgusting tactics and WELDED the backplate onto the board... These hardware manufactures are sinister..

Hi, I bought this motherboard for home lab project. The issue I got is it's not booting. No lenovo logo and no power to usb on the back. I tried everything. Fans do run. It doesn't have onboard video outputs so can't try other display plugs than the GPU ones The only thing I see is I don't have the second CPU atx 4 pin connector plugged in because my PSU doesn't have it. Is it required, do you think the motherboard NEEDS it to boot?

My university has a database that records data on all schools and (almost all) majors in the state of Florida, from 1 year to 5 to 10 years out, and the difference between a Bachelors in IS a year out and a Masters only 1 year out is around 20-30k

I am looking at this case in 2024 because I WANT externally aaccesible drive bays. I like having a bay mounted USB hub/card reader and a HDD dock for using full size drives as removable media for backups. An optical drive I can just get a USB connected one if ever needed.

So someone I know got this PC with an 11700K and a 240mm AIO already installed. After 2 years, the cheap AIO that Lenovo used failed. I tried guiding him through installing a new cooler (funnily enough I had him switch from liquid to air while you are switching from air to liquid, but we are using a very good dual tower so it should be fine), but we ran into the same backplate issue. I ended up having him use a hair dryer to heat up the backplate and slowly wiggle it free, and after about half an hour, he was able to pry it free without causing damage and was then able to install the Thermalright Frost Tower 120 that he bought. Screw Lenovo for gluing things, but at least it isn't impossible to fix.
