Okay! When you turned your L series on, were there any HDD lights, but no screen images? Got a Toshiba C series laptop with the same issue.

Hi there! Got a L670-14 f, with i7-640m plus no gpu. The question is, can I add on a GPU onto the board?

does this work for the c660 to with nvidia? when i install the driver, the laptop goes black in a few minutes, and then restarts itself, i allready tryed to reflow with a heat gun @ 450 degrees celcius for 5 minutes, but did not fix for me

If it works before the " i install the driver"...then its a software problem

@@pulkinpulman2028 I bought the laptop as broken, the seller informed me about the Nvidia issue, so yeah I dont know if it worked before, I quess it was working when it was sold from a shop, but in my case i want to fix the Nvidia issue, and software issue is impossible, installed a clean Windows 10, and then installed the driver, even older drivers from the Nvidia website gives the black screen en force restart issue, so no, its not a software issue, its a hardware issue. And hope to fix that,

Got a toshiba satellite P875-S7200 that the screen sometimes works fine but upon power on it stays black and eventually starts to come in. Is paste flux as good? Thanks 🤓

I've got the same laptop. It needs a new battery. Would that make the screen not go on. It was working for a while with the battery out, we just kept it plugged it. I'm going to replace the battery pa3817u-1brs, see if it is the problem first before I take it in for repairs, there are so many battery's on amazon could you recommend the right one to get on amazon. Or should I buy one at best buy. Thanks

I can see that you have no experience in fixing GPUs... in 99% of cases gpu needs replacing anyways. Doing this so called "reflow" only lets computer to be alive for some time but not to long. It will go back to black screen eventually.

Thats correct, this re-flow is only solution for short time.

Never use flux, you will end up in a completely dead gpu if miscalculated.

Bro i have the same laptop... but the thing is that the dedicated video memory is 0MB any fix to that

Check you have greater than 1.3 bios as there was a problem fixed. 1.7 is the latest. Try slower or faster memory.

@@wilwordsworth i updated and it fixed the dedicated vram its now 1024mb/ 1GB but when im playing games the gpu usage is always 0% and my game lags

Ok then the reason you are using zero vram is because you have no vram at all. This 670d is like most laptops and has no dedicated video card. Just the main memory you add with SIMMS. The video memory is actually dram (standard memory) and the amount you see in Windows is actually stolen from main memory. The extra graphics memory you may see, used for textures in 3D, is shared from main memory. Vram is memory that can be written and read at the same time so twice as fast as dram. So you can add more main memory or buy a gaming; very expensive laptop. Better still buy a pc and graphics card. When you buy a graphics card you will see the cheaper cards use dram ddr4 etc but the more expensive use vram. With your 670d all you can do is add memory to the max.

My C660 satellite boots, no screen at all not even backlight. then the fan goes crazy after 20-30 seconds and it restarts (when plugged in on power) or shutsdown when on battery Any ideas?

As for the looks of it I think there are problems regarding the power rail... And as for the display issues, the ICs involved in using display may be damaged or shorted... That I think will be quite some difficult board problem there

My screen won't come on, but it works with an external monitor, so it it the GPU or bad screen, the hinges were torn loose.
