I tuned in excited to learn about better, more earth friendly materials and methods to construct homes and commercial buildings. I dropped out after the feminist political analysis of the presenters. You are a disgrace to your professions and your university.

Well, the USSR had some of the worst environmental damage, air pollution, and CO2 emission rates. In the 1980s, CO2 emissions in German Democratic Republic were almost twice that of the West German's. In modern-day Venezuela, there's barely any clean water left because of the ecological damage done by their government, plus their oil spillages are astounding. Blaming only "colonialism and capitalist practices" for ecologically damaging processes is therefore wrong and pretty misleading. Otherwise, Material Cultures are amazing at what they do, and this was really insightful! I look forward to seeing more of their projects❤

I feel sad that in 1998 my father almost became a design architecture lecturer at the University of Melbounre. Unfortunately he failed. Now I live in Bogor, Indonesia.

I find it shameful, that during such an astute presentation of one of life's most significant architects, you felt compelled to invoke your own political biased opinion concerning George Bush. Regardless of anyone's political beliefs, this is not forum to discuss your beliefs. Doing so, in my opinion, totally destroyed any and all credibility to your presentation. Shame on you sir!

Real good. Years ago, I did quite a bit of research into Crudens, Trojan, the building of the Skarne in Dundee, and local authority corruption. I'm now an academic in Canada but I hope to pick up on this research again in Dundee one day. There was a World in Action TV programme in 1975 (impossible to find) on local authority corruption in Dundee relative to housing. On a sidenote I also lived in the Skarne for a brief time in 1986-7 at its lowest ebb. I would be interested to hear of research developments in this area.

It didn't come clear to me from Heather's and Melinda's presentation how they propose to present the Aboriginal heritage as a 'layer' of the post-colonial heritage. Most of the settlement heritage is physical and visible so it's possible to interpret it artistically and show it to others or make others aware of what it is in a way we understand. Telling stories is not part of European culture, at least not to the same extent as to Aboriginal people. So assuming that indigenous heritage should be incorporated in the heritage interpretation, how do Heather and Melinda propose to incorporate telling stories as an interpretation of the indigenous heritage? Or if not by telling stories, what means can be employed to make it understood. They should be more precise and/or factual about how 'the evidence which is there' can be revealed to the rest of us.

People like this only speak for the minority, the majority do not want this . This is an evil plan that will result in freedoms being lost. Who is really benefiting from this.

Its easy. Slow imigration down. You dont even consider it as an idea.. Houses are being built on the small amount of agrible land we have. Once that land is built on it ruined. Where is the Greens party on this issue.. Oh thats right they wanna flood the country with imigrants too

So more local government areas. Just what we need, more government equals more taxation an less freedoms.
