I love your work keep it up. Do you have any footage of the 1985 Indiana basketball world tour when they went to Japan, China, the Netherlands and Yugoslavia? If so, do you have an uploaded yet?

I cannot think of a better game I've witnessed at Memorial Stadium and I started going to games in 1992. The atmosphere was amazing, the game itself so exceeded any expectation I could have had. Outside of Rourke getting injured, it was like a dream of a game and I'm confident Tayven will do great while Kurtis gets healed up. Go IU!

Thank you for your extensive collection. Candidly, I am a former college and high school coach that acquired love of basketball sitting and watching IU games during the Knight era at my grandfather's side. Its amazing to relieve many, see many more for the first time, and appreciate the sophistication of the Indiana motion offense and M2M defense. Its cool to see how much the game has changed as well (a lot of this game IU is in its 2 out 3 in motion triangle with Calbert in the triangle-not an optimum spacing alignment but potent inside offense- spacing is such a premium now). Royce Waltman, an IU assistant from 82-87 was my mentor at Indiana State and its fun to see him in his pre ISU days. Thank you immensely.

Watching these are bittersweet. Enjoy it but it also makes me yearn for how great college hoops was back then and how much it sucks now. "One & done" and the transfer portal have made it impossible to get to know the players. I used to know so many of the lineups from the '80s. I can't remember players of the year now.

Remember this game…was there as a student and had the floor seats behind the backboard. Right behind where Michael Lewis drilled ole Jaaks. Fun game. Turner balled out on senior night.

My fam and I were at this game and the action revealed that the size, speed and 'talent' differences are no wider than the space measured between the ears of the players, and their coaches. As RMK would frequently say, mental is to physical as 4 is to 1!

41:12 Never forgot that analogy by the analyst all of these years after this game and also how shocked everyone was including us IU fans. I about lost it at the time since it was an absolutely beautiful day in Madison and irony is my favorite. ⛈😂 I still suspect this game was why Wiscy ran the final score up to 82-10 on IU several years later. I know they were making a BCS push so that was likely the real reason but surely, they didn't forget IU humiliating them at home in this game. Barry Alvarez has always been a competitive leader as coach or AD, so just saying. This game and that one were the extreme outliers on each end of the entire IU vs Wisconsin series history. Ironically enough as well is that the man who orchestrated that O-line dismantling of Indiana years later- Mr. Bob Bostad- now coaches the IU Offensive line in 2024!

2000: Left my Philosophy class at Sycamore Hall, staggered up behind the stage. Wondered what it was that everyone loved so much about IU basketball. Kept on walking to Nick’s English for a little post-class pow-wow, aided by jambalaya and cheap bud light. 2002: Newton grabs the rebound, secures it, IU beats Duke, and I’m crying tears of joy at the bottom of a pigpile underneath 6 dudes on the floor. So…a belated thanks to Coach Knight for building this thing we love. And thanks to Coach Davis for getting that plane down safe on the runway. Wild ride. Time of our lives.

This man would give the world for his players because he expected the best from them. It’s sad people call him a ‘bully’ because of what the media portrayed. People are so dumb these days because they believe anything the media feeds them. Look at his graduation rate. Look how he took care of players. Oh wait, you won’t because it wasn’t on TMZ or some other BS site. This is what the country needs. More men like him. But sadly everyone falls for the Government BS and will be slaves to them forever.
