he was not weaker, just susceptible. Vader could have taken out Palpatine but he would perish in the attempt (like it happened). The problem was... why? He had much to learn from Palpatine and not just from the Force.

@@highlanderc He was a lot weaker in that suit, He couldn't raise his arms above his shoulders, he was slow and a lot heavier and it kept him in constant agony to keep him tied to the dark side. If he had a better more well fitted suit he would have been a lot scarier to both duel and as a Sith He might have even gone back to the light side without all of that pain. Palpatine was scared of this power so he designed a suit that would keep him weak and unable to overthrow him.

@@solairekiller Just because he couldn't raise his arms doesn't mean he was weaker. He may not have been as flashy but he was more powerful in the force. He was the chosen one regardless. And the losing of limbs and tissue shouldn't be a concern otherwise, they could get fat and be more powerful in the force. Makes no sense.

Palpatine was always stronger than Vader in the suit and Luke became more powerful than Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi

Everything didn't click with Dooku right away until it was too late. But I must admit, it almost looked as if Dooku wanted to warn Anakin about Palpatine; but couldn't get the words due to being caught off gaurd by both Anakin's power and Sidious's betrayal!

There’s very few force users who can preserve their life and palpatine was the most powerful sith to ever live so Vader had very little chance of surviving his lighting

You might get the impression of a few of these things but only the novelizations give us a full insight into the characters thoughts and feelings.
