I just got my latest issue of Hot Rod magazine in the mail today. I sorry this is so late but I didn't know about it sooner. I grew up reading all of Pat's stories in all of the different magazines he worked for. I really enjoyed them and also the e-mails that he started sending out. R.I.P. Pat you are most definitely are going to be missed.

Pat, I was lucky to have met you, I said I had never been to the LA Roadster show, you gave me your spare ticket. It was great! I will treasure the two Lost Hotrod books you signed for me. I will get my 40 ford back on the road soon. RIP my friend

In 1959 that 6 cylinder dragster beat Tom McEwen's blown gas hemi dragster by running 159 mph at just under 10 seconds. The Hot Rod yearbook number 13 has the whole story of the dragster at the time the book was printed.

It's a nice looking bike. Pretty simple and minimalist. I see them on You Tube. The one's i tend to favor are low and fairly level and if not level then hard tails with short enough front forks to not look like some kids attempt at a Honda or the like. Customised with too long of forks.

That's not out of round, that is a not centred drum. Check flange, bearing or axle.

Thanks for the video. Another good reason for me to leave my wishbone together and just Jack the straight-8 engine up real high, sticking out of the hood like a gasser, or altered.
