It was insulting to the audience how dumb this movie was. None of it was believable at all. I get that the Public Defender was stretched for time but the defence was so unbelievably weak and the case from the prosecutor was almost just as weak. The idea that the defence wouldn’t propose a hit and run at all or immediately question the key witness about the dodgy way he made the positive ID was so distractingly unrealistic, it ruined an otherwise good premise. A real jury would take about 2 seconds to agree there was enough reasonable doubt. There’s almost no way Justin would have actually been convicted if he came forward right away either.

Everything about this looks and feels like a Sopranos knock off. Even that font sitting on the screen at the end of the trailer is spot on Sopranos. Not hard to see what the writers/producers are banking on to make it appealing. Which makes it very unappealing as a " " " "Batman" " " " related universe.
