Why did he turn his guitar down? It was just right. Afterwards you could hardly hear him.

In this song, his guitar is another voice, embracing the breaks and silences as it tells the story. I've come to learn of Joe only very recently, and I'm a huge fan. Joe can be unbelievably technically proficient, and I love that as well, but this is such a BLUES song, old school and genuine.

Scintillating music from the modern day master of blues guitar! Thank God for him!

Only a geologist can truly appreciate the title. I just discovered Mr. Miller, and we'll, you know. Damn speller thing. Well.

That whole band was simply superb in its day. But as excellent as Joey and Tom were, Pete was in a class of his own. Even so, he had to have more true talents to form the whole equation. And Joey, Tom and Mike fit the bill exceptionally well. Joey, on his own, however had some great moments. Best example---I totally love Give It Up!!

Saw Venable last month. Only criticisms are too much wah-wah and rushes slow blues. But don't get me wrong....she is a terrific talent and I think if she "seasons: another 4 or 5 years she will be terrific. Her band was really good too.
