I've witnessed the end of engines and lives! You're just... you're still no one you're supposed to be! **Edward:** (puzzled) But, James, I'm just trying to help. What happened? **James:** (shouting) Do you even know what Duck and I saw during the blast? I watched Miltrile struggle up Gordon's Hill. He left the brake coach behind, abandoned several others at the platform, and those stranded passengers... they were left to die-Sir Starch Hatt himself! **Edward:** (shocked) That's terrible! But all I saw was Donald passing by... **James:** (interrupting) What you saw means nothing! All that's left inside my coaches were my passengers screaming in terror! **James's Guard:** (calling out) Alright, everyone! You can come out now! **(Passengers scramble out of the coaches, panicking and running towards safety outside the station.)** **James:** (softening slightly) Edward, you're right. It's not your fault, You Did This. It was the power plant that caused this chaos and All. I've seen more of it than anyone. **Edward:** (sympathetically) We'll get through this, James. Together. **(The chaos begins to settle as the engines and the passengers regroup, united in their shared experience.)** **James:** We were just heading to the other side. Want to come? **Edward:** No, thanks. I need to find more survivors. **James:** Well, good luck! You're always a good fighter and a good friend. **Setting: A bustling train station at Wellsworth, with Edward filling up on water. James' bright red paint gleams in the sun, but there's an unusual tension in the air.** **Edward:** (taking a deep breath) Ah, nothing like a refreshing drink of water. I could use a break before my next run. **James:** (zooming past Edward) Catch you later, Edward! I’m off to the Mainland! **Edward:** (shouting after him) Wait, James! Be careful! You shouldn’t rush- **(Suddenly, Edward pauses, sensing something is off.)** **Edward:** (muttering to himself) Something doesn’t feel right about this… **(Scene shifts to James speeding along the tracks with his driver and fireman.)** **James' Driver:** (grinning) We’ll get to the Mainland in no time! **James:** (excitedly) Yes! Faster! I can feel the wind in my… wait, why are we slowing down? **(They glance at the signals as they realize they’ve taken a wrong turn.)** **James' Fireman:** Uh-oh, we’re heading towards Suddery! **James:** What?! No! I can’t go there! **(Moments later, in Suddery, James begins to feel strange as a second mouth grows next to his primary one.)** **James:** (in shock) What’s happening to me? I’m… I’m mutating! **(He struggles to stay on track but soon feels a third mouth form where his left eye used to be.)** **James:** (panicking) This isn’t right! I can’t control it! **(As he speeds towards a set of buffers, he crashes with a loud thud, derailing.)** **Edward:** (back at Wellsworth, feeling uneasy) I hope James is okay… I should’ve gone after him! **(The The scene fades to black, leaving the fate of James a mystery.)**
