Bucks county simulcast is bad when it comes to scanners, unication g4 and g5 pagers work great or a whistler txr

Whistler is cheaper and better. Uniden is shit now.

The SDS100 is going for about $650 pretty much everywhere including Ham Radio Outlet and Scannermaster.com.

The DV-10 is NOT a Trunk-tracker though.

CopperWhoopper67 - the Trunktrackers are made under License. Even though the Whistler TRX-1 Does not trunktrack Digital NXDN and other modern systems its still one of the BEST Scanners out there, and in my Opinion the BEST in Value. as DMR, NXDN and Phase II are included FREE. as for CR like ICOM and AOR, they are Superior Receivers for Digital Transmissions, Trunking and Phase II. they also scan FASTER than a scanner can.

Will G As of the latest firmware this is still an issue.

@@andrewmaccarone5362 I just installed the newest beta of 1.0 5.01 m and I must admit it seems to pick up a little better but now in the past 10 or 15 minutes I've had silence on VHF p25 and analog. Also now my weather channels are coming up as encrypted every now and then it's hard to catch but it's usually when border patrol keys repeater on 163.725

Also beta 1.05.0 1 m seems to have fix the tgid and uid replay on recordings a little.. some more improvements on vhf uhs would be nice...

John Doe I have both counties programmed into one favorites list with a quick key assigned to the favorites list and quick keys assigned to each system. My 436 and 536 were also set up this way with no issues . Here the latest firmware seems to alleviate the problem some what.

Delaware Valley Scanner Ok. I am glad you are not having as much difficulty with it. When I owned the bcd436, I just stayed away from quick keys (just made it more confusing) and just created 9 favorite lists. Enjoy the new SDS

darunimal so interesting enough I notice better reception on FM than NFM even on narrowband frequencies. Hold time set here to 255 seconds as this was the only system being monitored. I separate sites by site quick keys on multisite systems such as this one. From this location the site shown is the only one to come in well.

Reception is on par with a noisy environment (local let alone east coast mega-metropolis, weather/sun, and TV signalling ). This scanner was made to be better inside a CQPSK - P25 Phase I & II System, its not surprising that an unamplified C4FM signal used on a Motorola Type Smartnet/Zone from further outside the coverage area has some errors, especially considering there's many Sites with close or exactly the same frequency being utilized. It maybe necessary to use an external antenna or directional antenna, note you maybe amplifying noise, but that's where NFM and NAC may help alleviate interfering signals. The -105dm is about the limit for decodability and while the G4/G5 pagers can do much better with much narrowing filtering - it can't decode Moto Type 1/2 systems with Digital Voice so what are you gonna do.

Rob Fern encrypted audio mutes on P25 Phase 1 and does not mute on P25 Phase 2 which makes a horrible sound. I believe I was using the stock telescopic antenna in this video.

correct, but both Whistler and Uniden are crap for Trunking. they lack any FILTERS audio or otherwise and the Receivers are MORE sensitive w/o overloading. Its what we used before there were scanners and Trunktrackers. A Receiver can actually tune BETTER than any scanner can and be just as agile even w/o trunktracking.

RC944jim Thanks! First make sure you are in Detail Trunk Display- Press MENU key > Display Options > Set Scan Display Mode > Detail Mode > Press the E/YES key. Press MENU key > Customize > Set Detail Trunk. Choose the area on the screen you want to display the Noise or Digital Error. When the area is highlighted use the Left Soft Key under ITEM and use the scroll knob to select what you want displayed in that area. When finished press the E/Yes key. Then you can modify the text and background colors.

RC944jim the soft keys are the ones above the 1,2, and 3 keys and directly under the screen. They correspond to the items at the bottom of the screen.

Hey it's June 2019 and the junk UniDEAD 996P2 I have has the same problem. If I put it on 800 MHz with Phase 2 it works OK. Uniden service people said "it's broken" give us $100 and we' try to fix it, sucker,, .. ,,

Got to watch the stuff you buy from FleeBay. They buy the rejected radios that don't pass the Uniden standards. They sell blocks of them off (CHEAP) to FleeBay! I'm one that bought a broken scanner...
