it’s easy to overlook john mayer because the 21st century is so saturated with guitarists posting amazing things everywhere but regardless of what you think of JM or his music there’s no denying he’s one hell of a guitarist - i would say the closest thing a lot of younger generations have had to a hendrix or a stevie ray vaughan

Joe is the first class performer with so much soul.....and he was just giving the podium to the next generation. Matteo is just invented the guitar in another way and now the best guitarist player. But this is good and very natural. Old fantastic players giving this to the new generation. One thing Matteo needs to learn more.....give the show . Skills on the guitar or what techniques you use is only half way. The your guy has talent but gives me no goose bumps,he hasn’t got to that point. Many people can sing or cover songs perfectly but no goose bumps.

Fantastic ability but needs to create something to stand the test of time to be able to join the immortal category... he may only be 26 but hendrix released are you experienced at 25, clapton was 21 in cream, Brian May 27 when they released bohemian and as for george harrison....... ridiculous output by the same age. None as fast or technical but songs still known 60 years later. Virtuosity can become niche as well, Alan Holdsworth and John Mclaughlin (both originating from near where i come from) were also virtuosos but didnt match the mass 'fame' of the others as their viruosity wasnt as popular. Matteo seems a great guy I hope he does really well in years to come.
