Teresa here from Omaha Ne. I was lucky enough to see Tom & The Heartbreakers 5 times. The last time was 2003 , when Ron Blair was there -- it was a magical night. Still miss Howie , though. Rip Tom & Howie. Love always, Teresa.

I cried tears of sadness upon hearing Tom went to RIP with the Rock & Roll angels. Same as I cried the night I had heard John Lennon was shot dead in NYC. So, many incredible musical artists are gone or soon to be leaving us. Long live the era of vinyl LPs.

OMG he died less than a week later. My father died 9/29/17 on a Friday and Tom Petty officially died that Sunday, 10/1/17 but he wasn't taken off the ventilator until Monday 10/2/17! 😔😔

He was something else! And he sure loved us, his fans! Throughout the years, you could tell that he loved it whenever the crowd joined in with him! I'll never forget when he told the crowd, "Y'all are gonna put me out of a job!" at the beginning of "Breakdown." LOL And here he stands, with a broken hip, still gettin it! SMFH... HE DID IT FOR US, ya know?🥹 But I sure wish he would have postponed this show, and gone ahead and gotten his hip replaced... Maybe he would still be here with us...🥺 His demise was so unnecessary 😔 😢 Rest easy, Tom 🕊️ Sure do miss you. Maybe I'll see ya on the other side... 💔🎸🎩

From the first time i ever saw this vid I noticed the two female backup singers sensed something was up with Tom at 445. They were near him and loved him and knew end was near.

Saw Petty a few times when I was younger and so was he, in Philadelphia where I lived when I was younger. Been a drummer since the age of five, sixty now, and of all my idols who passed over the years, I can honestly say, I miss Tom Petty more every day as if he was family.
