Have Argentina build you 24 of their LeArgentina Corvettes. Operate in groups of 4,6,8 as coastal defence. They are fast,armed to the teeth. Lengthen them 25-30 feet. Add 12 -15 feet to their beam. Add two 10 launcher VLS. This is to keep them light and fast. Add an auxiliary jet pump drive-electric. Use the French ALSTOM company to design the electrical. They are very experienced in electric drives and cost efficient. Philippines need fast,fast ships. Rapid response,high maneuverability. Have the Samsung Shipyard Buy the plans for the AEGIS French VLS frigate. Extend it 30 feet length. Add beam as needed to keep the Beam to Length ratio. Increase tankage, and horsepower. Add separate cross launcher BRAHMA3 hypersonic missiles one more anti-air kinetic close in system. Have South Korea lay down the keels for 15 -18 of them all at once. This is called economy of force projection. Many people do not understand the thickness of modern reinforced double hulled super tankers. Easily strengthened further and cheaply. Create more compartmentalization between the double hills. Run a triple access way the length of the ship. Use a triple backbone controls to operate MOV's to control flooding and isolation of compartments. Folding the compartments will stabilize the ship from the added weight of the armor on deck and the armor necessary to protect the pop up array additional fire control and the VLS weapon systems. These need to be broken into multiple cells separated from each other to prevent non operation from battle damage. Compartments,cells, need the ability to be flooded. Armored double bulkheads around each cell. This a cheap modification of a standard design Crude carrier. A large aircraft support center can easily be added. Separate them into two sections of the ship. These ships are fully capable of doing 32+ knots. That is not what they are for. Use the in place of building an aircraft carrier. You cannot afford to buy 40 million dollar aircraft? Buy 40+ Expects,harpoons, Tomahawk missiles. Buy twin/triple mounted CWIS or equivalent with a compartmented ammunition hold for each mounted battery. India and France systems as alternatives. This is a force projection ship. Like an aircraft carrier,but more cost effective. Add in the ability to land Marines, refuel systems and supplies. You have a area control ship. Rheinmetal would be happy to provide large bore laser and radar Targeted guns. This is a floating fortress. Easily and economically built. Imagine 3000 missiles 50 torpedo launchers. Drone surveillance capability for over the horizon targeting. Build smaller versions of these with 350 missiles each. Full AEGIS AESA radars. Towed array sonar. I have other ideas on that. Integrate magnetics into that. Any decent sized shipyard could build these. Standard design. Open hull plan. Metal an beams and ribs ,already thick to accommodate extreme loading in storms. Area control ships. Imagine what the Philippines opponents would think when one of these mini fortresses show up and open their armored deck doors exposing many hundreds of VLS missile launchers.Knowing you have excess command and control ability? 8 to 14 torpedo tubes. Long range large bore guns. Speed at 34 knots extended. You have the tankage. Split between several bulkheads with multiple pumps. One hit or more will not take this ship out! Triple keel reinforced. Longs interconnected and lattice reinforced. Extra hull plates ready to cut to size in storage with Ribbing already welded to them. Massive Damage control potential. At sea repair of other naval assets.
