When this song came out my threshold for rock vs metal was that metal had a monopoly on distortion so acid rock and punk were metal, Real rock&roll was elvis Presley and john fogerty And u2 was hard rock ....Well Early u2 was harder than mainstream u2 Then everything changed when full real heavy metal was finally invented by chuck schuldiner with his band death and i became a toxic gatekeeper for 20 years
