Its such a hurtful thing when prospects ghost, I spend time with them on the phone, write up custom contracts and proposals to them - showing plenty respect and that I'm very interested in working with them, and no I don't come across as too desperate, so I hope. And they will pretend like you don't exist, zero respect of my time or efforts. Such a cruel world out there... yes I know its business so theres no room for the word "hurtful' but yes it really hurts! Theres no denying it. I find it very wrong that prospects ghost, if they are a religious person how on earth do they face God that night knowing that they've completely disrespected another human and stole the persons time. Having said all that, now that people can be cruel, rude, disrespectful and give no fucks about my time - there's being smart about things and making sure I don't get robbed of my time. So I appreciate your advice and help! Shloimy

Sales is the WORST job there is. Most of the time, you're trying to sell products that you don't even believe in or are sub-par. Screw that. Companies need to overhaul their products first so that their products sell themselves. When that happens, there would be no more need of salesmen, just representatives that facilitate the transaction of sales between the customer and the company.

The whole point is to sell you something you probably won't even need, something that you possibly have 10 of already. It's always about upgrading and getting the newest items so you look cool 😎 to show your wealth 🤑. These companies and people made BILLIONS off people they believe are stupid and are only following the leader. Stop trying to look and be like these people, they account for the death of America, the best country ever.

The decision to buy is an emotional decision, not a logical one. By answering the question in person, you're building a connection with the customer -- letting the customer know that you care about them and their concerns. When I wen to buy a $1300 television, I had already done my homework, knew what I wanted to buy, and had it narrowed down to one of two brand/models -- and frankly, I didn't care which one. The sales droid immediately told me that my knowledge was poor and that I really wanted the $1500 brand/model. I walked out and bought the brand/model that I had wanted from someone else. The sales droid may have been technically correct, but he blew the sale by creating an atmosphere of negative emotion. By pushing off the 75% to 80% of the questions to a video -- which is going to cover questions that I don't care about -- you forfeit the ability to make the emotional connection of answering my questions.

Hi @MarcusSheridan What are your thoughts of people now taking videos and manipulating them to show people in compromising positions by creating deep fakes with the voice and likeness without your consent because you uploaded your videos to be used by anyone as they so please? I don't believe someone opting out of posting their videos is always a negative thing especially when you have no control of who has access to your videos!
@MarcusSheridan8 ай бұрын
Yes, the deep fake problem will only get worse. This is certain. The issue, though, is that if you want to grow your brand, or want to build your business, somehow you're going to have to make the choice to embrace video and get in front of the world-- at least in the majority of cases. I do know that deep fake technology (detection) will be essential. This is also why we need the blockchain to verify real from fake, and I hope we are able to do this sooner rather than later.
@3lle8248 ай бұрын
@@MarcusSheridan Thanks for the reply. I can agree with your message however, it is discouraging to put yourself on video or audio and to no longer have any control over your own likeness in exchange for monetizing or building a brand. Peace of mind is more important in a chaotic world. When you are the brand there is no separation between your life and the expectations of strangers on the internet! It is very interesting that what once seemed like a far-fetched sci-fi movie is happening in real-time! The level at which those videos can be used and manipulated without any regulation or consent is mind-boggling. A critic or fan can literally do whatever they choose with your images especially videos, create AI avatars, Swap your face, and then reuse the video of your body with your voice saying and doing anything they want just because you uploaded it! The prospect of that alone and the lack of any regulation is why I would think people would be less inclined to be on camera.

If you make money on clicks and visits to your blog because of your content, and AI scrapes and delivers your content and serves it up without a click-through, your income dies. Blogging dies.
@MarcusSheridan8 ай бұрын
Well, from a Google SEO perspective, this could happen. Keep in mind, though, there are many other ways folks can consume that content. For example, you don't want them to NOT stay on your website because you've given up on great content. Once they are there, we want them to be fed, to feel satiated w the information you've provided. Keep in mind too, you still will have email marketing, social, etc.-- all places where blog content can be leveraged. So Yeah, I think SEO is going to be very much affected, but I do absolutely think great content (articles, videos, etc.) will still matter.

@MarcusSheridan8 ай бұрын
Here's the punchline: Don't make the excuse, "We can't talk about pricing on our website because our competitors will find out what we charge." -- They already know what you charge, and they shouldn't matter anyway. The CUSTOMER is who matters. Make sense?
