This is what I remember watching Tennessee football on TV 50 years ago - when advertising didn't take up every minute of non-game time. The networks never give a minute of air time to the bands these days - sooo sad ! I was in band at Orlando Boone High and our school colors were the same and band uniforms almost identical to UT !

I am so proud to say that my oldest sister is a part of this band. She’s gotten so far, and I couldn’t be more proud. Also, can we talk about the set at 1:21? I think we all know what that looks like… right?

As a Pride alumnus previous to Rocky Top, it is depressing to see the Alumni band enter the field playing our official fight song, Down The Field and no one stands and cheers. And I really wished they knew the words like they do Rocky Top.

Oh I'm so glad you posted this. Love this band. I only wish they had Summer uniforms. It could be 105 and they are still in full uniform shirt, pants, jacket, cumberbun and hat. I feel bad for them

I was in POTS. Played drums and still remember my first game. Our family wasn't well off, so it was my first Vol game ever and I was in the middle of that huge stadium. When we formed the T it was electric. It was like a wave of energy going right through you, It all went by so fast. We didn't realize those were some of the best years of our lives until it was over

I like how the DM does a showy strut down the field. That’s super common in the Big 10 but I don’t see it as much with the Southern bands. Well done Vols! And may you ALWAYS keep prayin! Y’all bring pride to the Southland indeed.

It was better when the guy on the PA didn’t talk as much during the pre game show He doesn’t need to explain every single thing For instance: he doesn’t need to tell people what song is being played when we play the opponent fight song I love that we do it it’s very cool But he should just say “ the pride extends a big orange welcome to our guests from _____” There are a couple other things

Way too mouthy that guy. After Stars and Stripes Forever, cut his mic.

Dr. Julian would have had a conniption fit if Bama's band played from the stands while we were still on the field. This is utterly disrespectful by Bama's band. Shame on them. It is a disgrace that any visiting band would play while the home band is actually on the field performing. I would hope that Tennessee never has so little class that they would do so when they visited Alabama or Florida or even Vandy.
@lilliedoubleyou38652 ай бұрын
IKR! What's that about?
@BillVol2 ай бұрын
I've seen other bands kind of hold their instruments in the air with a pumping motion instead of playing while the Pride plays. Bama should know better.

As a Vol fan for over 56 years, and an alum of the POTSB I can not understand how our fans boo the other team or us playing their fight song. It is one of the classiest things our band does but our fans are classless. F the other team is even worse.

Thanks. I was wondering if the Pride did UTC's song. Years ago, they would often skip the fight song of schools with few fans in the stands. Love our routine this year. Love the Circle Drill, but it's nice to see other formations, too. I wish the announcer would say the name of the opposing team's fight song. Also wish he would go silent when the T is formed and when the team runs out.
