If you comstantly borrow from others you are a dk benefitting from their cost and cash output on what you borrow. If you can return the favour and share not just borrow it creates a different environment.

I wasn't able to drink coffee for nearly 30 years due to gallstones (I'd be literally screaming in agony) but 2 years ago I found a local coffee shop that produced a coffee I could consume without pain. What started as one coffee per week turned into one coffee per day which has now increased in price to £2.75 a cup so from 1.1.25 I'm ditching the coffee for good. Along with other money-saving strategies (ie using a library rather than buying books, no more magazines or eating out) I hope to save hard in 2025.

Fantastic video, Smart Frugal Living. Eager to see your next upload from you. I smashed that thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the great work. Your insights on zero-cost upgrades are truly refreshing! How do you think the concept of borrowing before buying can shift consumer culture in the long run?
@SmartFrugalLiving-z9j6 күн бұрын
Thank you so much for your support and kind words! Borrowing before buying encourages resourcefulness and community sharing, reducing overconsumption and waste. Over time, it can foster a culture that values sustainability and meaningful connections over material excess. 😊

Starting with being a life long frugal and mindful Prepper, I save a fortune by buying items other than food, used. Learning new skills and honing old ones makes it almost totally unnecessary to pay anyone to do anything I can safely do myself.

I tend to take frugality seriously, if I had more money to live on I would likely be less frugal and allow myself more luxuries, rather than basic necessities. That said, over all, I live like a queen on a shoe-string budjet. Could be worse, and many folk are far worse off than I am.

I got rid of my credit card completely six years ago, for two reasons. Firstly, even if I didn't owe them money, they still charged account keeping fees. I wanted that money in my pocket, not the bank's. Secondly, it meant I could only spend what I actually had. Seeing my balance reduced after each purchase has drastically curbed my impulse spending.

Same money saving tips every channel has on. It's forgetting that sometimes it doesn't matter what you try you don't have enough money coming in. The only way to save money is not to spend it. It does mean doing without not having any of your wants and giving up on having a life. Still you will reach the point where you don't make enough to pay your bills.

No not spending mean doing without. Reason why is because I can't spend, save, invest the same dollars all at the same time!!!! TF if I make 3K a month and want to save I have to literally go without to save money out of the 3K I start with. Unless I am missing something savings come from not spending!!!!
@donaldlyons17Ай бұрын
@@SmartFrugalLiving-z9j IMO yeah your living in your own universe and can say this because what should be and what really works are not always the same things!!!! I like theory but sometimes looking at median numbers and median expenses there are reasons why or why not when it comes to outcome(S)!!!
