I am in awe. Just speechless. WOW! This could be a way to tighten up for ribbing on a sweater or gloves. I have always wondered. I knit regularly. When knitting a sweater there are fewer stitches than the main body of the sweater. Thank you

Intarsia knitting is better done on a flat panel. If you knit in the round the end of the yarn for the next color change is in the wrong place when you come around to the next row.

It is faster than hand knitting if you are knitting say 30 stitch wide tube. Also some people can crochet but do not hand knit. They can use the machine to help them knit.

You don't have to know how to knit for this one. You can use a crochet hook to do the knit stitches for the cable. It is shown in the tutorial. I haven't tried using any clips or bobbins on the machine.

You're welcome. Please be very vigilante in the colour counts.. It is quite a headache if you realize a mistake in the count a few rows later and have to re-do it. Tip : Best to start with another small roll of yarn if you have to carry forward a colour for more than 5 stitches. Have fun and you are welcome to contact me if you have any questions.

You are very welcome. Would love to know how it works out with your project. Oh just in case you have a problem with 21 pins for the 22 pin project, you can also try to make 22 pin flat panel and join the sides I have a tutorial on joining sides seamlessly too. I just published a video highlighting 4 methods to make any size tubes. You can check if that is helpful to help you choose a method that suits your project best.☺️

@questrixdragon

There is an inherent problem with doing it this way. Because you are still using enough yarn for a 48-pin round and only using 32 stitches, it completely changes your final gauge for the tube. It's fine doing it like that if you only are using 32 stitch tubes for your project but if you are using both 32 st tubes and 48 st tubes say for a blanket, the gauge difference would be huge so lining up any colour changes would be almost impossible.
@creative_needle
@creative_needle Жыл бұрын
When you skip the pins, the amount of yarn stretching across the skipped pins is less than the yarn that is needed if you were to actually knit those skipped stitches. The gauge should not be that much different. Colour changes in blankets are usually lined up with flat panels instead of tubes. Please let me know if you have encountered any problems with a project you have made with this method. It would be interesting to see if I can offer any suggestions to help resolve it. :)
