The hole in the lids allow the defined in the DSC furnace to enter the curcible. With a sealed lid, there would be a self generated atomsphere inside of the crucible.

How to import the plot data file? As we don't have DSC testing equipment in our university, I sent DSC samples to be tested externallly using Mettler Toledo DSC 1. They sent me result files text data format .txt file. When I imported them using Star e software, it did not work. I used file import ANSI.

Why does pH meter calibration start with pH 7 buffer then followed by pH 4 buffer and then pH 10 buffer? Can the buffer order be randomized (starting from pH 4-7-10 or 7-10-4)?

Mettler Toledo pH meters feature automatic buffer recognition for predefined buffer groups. This allows users to perform calibration without following a specific order for the pH buffers. For example, when conducting a three-point calibration using buffers 4, 7, and 10, you can begin with any buffer and calibrate in any sequence you prefer.

The behavior depends on the moisture analyzer model. Normally the determiantion starts at room temerpture. It can be higher if two samples are measured directly after each other and the heat from the first measurement is still in the system. With our moisutre analyzer HX204 it's possible to define the start temperture sing the "preheating" funtion which is a method parameter, with the moisutre analyzer HE53 this function is not available.

Dear @zarinskie Проверьте, все ли настройки в измерителе выбраны правильно. Закрепите соединения. Измеритель pH по сути является потенциометром, преобразующим сырые значения мВ в единицы pH и может показывать ---- пустые показания, если показания pH выходят за пределы диапазона измерения, например, измеритель pH может иметь диапазон pH от -2 до 20 pH. Если значения выходят за пределы диапазона измерения, то измеритель покажет пустые показания. Hi, can you recommend the best way to reactivate DMi141-SC electrodes? and another thing is our electrode started to show 420+mV potential in AgNO3 0,1M solution, instead of 250-350, so grath started to be written in jumps. What can be the case?

@SiberiaBloom The following can be done to regenerate a DMi141-SC electrode: 1.The silver ring can be polished (cleaned) using: 1.Wetted aluminum oxide powder 2.Emery cloth for jewelry polishing 3.Toothpaste on a tissue 2.Fluctuations in the read mV signal often occurs due to a blocked diaphragm in the reference junction. Depending on the nature of the agent that blocks the diaphragm, the following cleaning solutions are available: 1.Sulfide contamination: immerse electrode with diaphragm in a 8% thiourea in 1 M HCl solution for 1 hour under stirring 2.Protein contamination: immerse electrode with diaphragm in a 5% pepsin in 0.1 M HCl solution for 1 hour under stirring 3.Silver chloride contamination: immerse electrode with diaphragm in a 10% ammonia solution for overnight, then rinse and soak the electrode with diaphragm in dilute nitric or sulfuric acid for one hour.
