Ya know, you are right and YES that really does help!!!!!!! I used a much lighter coat on the sides but did go heavier on the roof!!!!!! I'm changing up the primer, I purchased a lacquer primer and gonna give it a try after prepping the body, again lol!

I'm going to use a Lacquer primer from Dupli Color, I prefer Red Oxide but all they had was a gray! GM back in the day used the Red Oxide on all the cars. WOW thank you so very much!!! I love your stuff so much!!! After A LOT or research I found out 2 important things. 1) The Vallejo primer is NOT acrylic it is enamel and 2) the Dupli Color is lacquer based!!!!! So no wonder it lifted!!! It didn't do it on the sides or trunk because I used a lighter application there, but went heavier on the roof!!!! Please if you haven't subscribe, were inching closer to 500 please subscribe. @@OlderThanDiertModeling-nx9og So, I've heard that a lot of car modelers don't like Vallejo primer as it gives all kinds of problems. I have a model that I used it on and the then sprayed Tamiya acrylic over and the paint cracked like there had been and earthquake. I have used Badger's acrylic primer without any issues, but have switched to Tamiya, ScaleFinishes, or Mr Hobby primers.

That is a fact lol!!!!!! I'm leaning towards taking a candy purple over a base like what i'm using here!!! One trick I learned in the painting business is to take a little black, a drop at a time, to tint the color a little darker!!!! I also have some of the mica colors I could add as well!!! There is a black in there!!! Well, when the time coomes, spoon test time again LMAO!!!!

I am absolutely agreeing with you Tim!!!!! I feel like such a jerk I didn't even have the thought to write down the name!!!!! I was so AMAZED that I got the kit, that I was sooo "aweing" and "oohing" over it and to be frankly honest with you, I had tears in my eyes from the 100% pure generosity of this person, that I totally wasn't thinking about it!!!!!! That's a great idea!!!!! I am going to do just that!!! BUT, here is what I think! I moved here in 1981, I went there the first time in 1993 and the business was booming!!!! Here is the rub!! There were 4 model shops in Springfield at one time! In fact one was a premier model train shop as well called Trainland! Well, they went away last year and now a nail salon is there! Soo sad!!! Another shop closed a couple of years ago and of the remaining 2 one right now ONLY specializes in RC!!!!! The final hobby store is rather small and they have a real small area that has only military kits!!! Went there yesterday and I'm not kidding here, he had a total of 8 model car kits, of which I already have 5 of them lol. So in our area, really all we have Charlie is Hobby Lobby!!!! Luckily I have a Hobby Lobby in Branson, 21 miles away, so it is the closest to me! LOL if I had a helicopter, I could get there in 5 minutes because by air it's 5 miles away LOL!!!!!! I love the lake here, but dang, you have to go all the way around it to get there lol!!!!! Paul

LOL I really do understand!!!! It took me about 3 weeks to figure out the format for my cards lol!!!! How I'm keeping my budget, might work for you!!! I designed the card, front and back, then printed it out on a heavy, very heavy card stock on my inkjet, then spraying in very light coats, an el-cheapo clear, from rustoleum lol. Look good and they will not run if rained on. Don't drop in water they will disintegrate lmao!!!!! You have a great one my friend!!!!! Paul

To be honest...that was my first thought as well!!!!! I have fat fingers and many times I have found it very difficult to get into smaller areas. Now...no more worries!!!!!! It has so many attachment arms that I would be hard pressed to find any areas it could not get into!!!!! Well...maybe on some of the miniatures you paint it might not fit. OH BTW......my best friend who I call my brother "Dennis" has been a 40K fan for well over 3 decades. At the time he purchased every 40K miniature there was, I was surprised that they were all metal!!!!!!!! Since I bought all these tools and paints he is coming over soon and we are going to use my tools and get some new paints, all of his died over 25 years ago lol, and we are going to start painting the ones up he has!!!!!!! So I say again THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENTS!!!!!!!
