It's a good thing that there isn't a flat spine on it. The Kukri metal is hard on the edge, and the rest of the blade is soft, which is why it holds an edge well but can also be bent. If you used it on a ferricium rod, the rod would probably win.

Put a pair of socks at the bottom of your mag pouch. Lifts the mags up, making them easier to grab. Plus, it frees up space in your other misc pouch where you would otherwise carry the socks.

Do you remove the silicone seal on the canteen when boiling?

As a British soldier I think you’d like the plce assault chest rig. It’s got similar pouches with canted magazine pouches. An internal pistol holster and internal pockets.

I like the plowpoint. Stupid simple. You can use a smaller tarp. Pitch it low for a little more shelter effect. Pre-rig the tarp with #36 so all you have to do is timber hitch it to a tree. Carry some steel pins too. Snow is way better than cold rain! LOL! Thanks for the educational video!
