A very nice little video of the museum, I've been there a lot of times. Although I'm mainly interested in big ol' 'murican cars I like the old Saabs too and I encourage every car enthusiast to visit this museum. Especially if you don't know much about Saab, you'll be surprised how ingenious their engineers were, often on a tight budget, and with their mind set on affordable public access. Tack för att du laddade upp!

Back in 2014, mail order company Atlas launched a special SAAB diecast 1/43 scale model car collection, called the "SAAB Car Museum Collection", based on the cars found in this museum. The collection was sold by subscription, and subscribers would get roughly one model per month. It was intially sold in Scandinavia only, but I believe a few more countries were eventually added, due to very high demand from collectors across Europe. Each model would come on a white plastic presentation plinth within an illustrated black cardboard box. Each model would also include an a5 leaflet describing the history of the model, together with various photos, drawings and a table of technical specifications. Sometimes the shipment would also include a a rack for displaying the models, each rack having 2 layers, holding 5 models per layer. In addition to all this, subscribers would also get a sturdy cardboard box for storing the leaflets, as well as a metal keychain with the SAAB Car Museum logo (the Ursaab silhouette) All in all, Atlas released 45 different models, before deciding to end operations in Scandinavia at the beginning of 2018. I subscribed to the collection right from the very first day I heard of it from Atlas themselves as they introduced it in a leaflet accompanying a model in another collection, and I kept subscribing until the very end... despite of that I only ever got 42 of the 45 models made - this was typical for Atlas. Some models would eun out of stock, and when that happened Atlas would have more made... except that sometimes they couldn't be bothered, and then they would pretend it didn't exist... when they ran out of models, they'd then send you a letter saying "congratulations, your collection is now complete!" When inquiring about missing models they would answer, that they never promised that every subscriber would get every model. I don't think anybody ever got the entire collection from Atlas, but of course it would then be possible to search for missing models second hand.
