If you been watching about bikes and how to ride them can you start on the zx6r or no. I bought the zx6r but i would definitely recommend to buy a smaller bike before it the reason why I didn’t is because i didn’t wanna buy a smaller bike then use it for 1-2 months and need a upgrade

Everything in this video is completely wrong! It doesn't matter what bike is your first bike, it's all about discipline and throttle control and knowing your clutch. that's it. i'm 50 years old, been riding motorcycles since my teenage years and my first bike was a liter bike. it was given to me for free since the original owner couldn't take it with him overseas and i had a fantastic time learning how to ride. most times when you let out the clutch the bike will move itself and it's a great way to learn how to go slow with just the clutch alone. as for the throttle, it was very sensitive so it was all about how much power you really need and just give the throttle just a pinch and your good. as far as the power of the bike, yeah it was powerful enough where i didn't even take it out of first gear because i was already doing 80 on the freeway and i was only in first gear so that really helped with stop and go traffic where i didn't have to keep switching gears all the time. as for my height i'm 5'6 and my feet never touched the ground! there was a good 1 inch of space between me and the ground but you're not spending all your time standing with the bike, you're riding the bike. i have friends shorter than me like 5'2 and 5'3 and they riding Yamahara R1's as their first bikes. my bike did eventually broke down because it was so old and i got a yahama r6 and was that better? NO!! more sensitive throttle, still can't touch the ground and the bike feels faster than my old liter bike but i'm disciple enough to respect the bike, respect the speed, respect the law and other drivers around you. that's all it is. ride any bike you want, just know and understand the bike like you would a girlfriend or wife!! Ride safe!!!

Have you experimented with sprocket ratios? Might be the change you want in the s1000 instead of a different bike? You can have more torque over all with a lower front tooth front sprocket and a higher tooth rear sprocket.they made the gearing for that bike like a regular sport bike and thats been a complaint in the s1000 forums. A sprocket change could wake it up, and a flash/tune would get ride of the factory restrictions at lower rpms. Bike sounds great for just a slip on, a little metalic, but good. Black widow exaust makes full exhaust and their cans sound great imo. Got lots of low end grunt. Cheers!
@JagMoto636Ай бұрын
No I haven’t touched the sprockets. I think the power is more than enough. I might just get the black widow headers and attach it to this slip on.
@POSTMASTER_Rion-Donald_Harmon.Ай бұрын
@@JagMoto636 with the cat delete, you should get a ecu flash because it changes the fuel to air ratio. Ecus are restricted by a lot at below the 5k rpm mark because of emission regulations. Basically starving the engine to pass emissions. The secondary valves might close off at low and high rpms too.. but with a ecu flash it fixes all of that. I personally prefer to have too much power than not enough and the bike to run without restrictions helps with engine longevity. And the sprockets are an easy/cheap change out.
