Great stuff! I hope you follow up with the 2D high speed mounting. After fighting with mine, losing reading about 23-25mph, it was suggested I turn the bottom of the transducer out board a little. Closer to matching the bottom of boat as opposed to level with transom. Now reading FOT. I also added another MSI to the other side. Much better full screen readings now. Lund 1875 pro guide
@mayhems10kcasts10 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Your high speed is no different. If you push the back of the transducer down it will help give it clean water for a better reading. Implement the same instruction on this video and you should be fixed up. Hope this helps.
@cowboyjack32810 күн бұрын
@@mayhems10kcasts yes sir. Had to do that as well.
@Muskyfishn849 күн бұрын
This downward angle is not needed. If it won’t read right or sprays the motor, the height is not correct. The best SI readings come from utilizing the coin leveling trick, not an arbitrary angle. I have set up over 40 boats and not one has had to have the transducer at this angle. All read, dad’s pro guide reads the bottom even at 39 mph (WOT) with the two of us.
@cowboyjack3289 күн бұрын
@@Muskyfishn84 thanks for the input. Yea we’ve been everywhere, been there done that. What I’m saying is what we did to make it WOT on my boat not your dads. Tight lines and keep up the good work

I fish by myself from Canada to Florida Keys. Always have your own Hook Release Gear including 16.5” Channel Lock Straight Jaw Pliers, De-Hooking Gloves, Water for rinsing wounds and your own complete First Aid Kit. They also make “finger cots” which are like little condoms that help keep a bleeding finger wound from messing the boat up when you still want to fish but have to keep the wound clean. I have had to help many fisherman due to hooks. I have removed hooks from hands, fingers, calf, back, leg and a little jig just above a little girl’s eye! The hook to the hand was the only one on my boat and the hook in a finger was me when fishing a smallmouth stream! Funny thing is they ALWAYS want a photo before I remove the hook (except the girl and me)! Glad Gavin was able to tough it out. St Croix Rods rock. Probably have 15 freshwater spinning and baitcasting rods of theirs. Be well. Enjoy the videos.
@mayhems10kcasts5 ай бұрын
Hey thanks for the comments and views! Yes we have the tools and the first aid kits as well. Unfortunately Gavin got hit with an open mouth full of teeth doing the damage. Nasty one but came to a full recovery haha. Even though he isn’t fond of his own blood. All good now.

Chase, i had one jump out of the net while still hooked, had to fight and net a 2ed time! Throwing a single hook bait is heavy heavy cover so no trebles to catch the bag and pin the fish in. Good lesson learned.
