Instead of an external psu you should have just opted for an external radiator instead, that single 120 rad is just not enough for that thing.

Nice Video... Where can I buy all itens for my Nvidia?? Some Tip?
@frogger15552 жыл бұрын
Thanks for posting thermal pads thickness! I want to replace all of these the next time I open my card. Will it be ok to buy a strip 120mmx20mm of each thickness? Is it enough? Or should I buy some more of the specicifc size? Have you had any problems with cooler contacting the gpu die after installing 2mm thick pads? Sadly I can't measure my pads because they're all squished :<
@frogger15552 жыл бұрын
The 2mm thick pad you've got seems to be 80x40mm in dmiension.

At 1080p with high settings you can get about 80fps if you lower down to medium and high settings 120fps is possible

asus turbo 1070 ti is similar with a blower. so i am thinking the pads might be close to the same. did you use all 4 sizes .5mm - 2mm?
@logangoskowicz54912 жыл бұрын
I did use all four pad sizes, and it worked well in my case. If you're missing a certain pad size, you might be able to get away with using the next size up in place of it (e.g. a 2.0mm pad instead of a 1.5mm pad). However, a thicker pad might cause the PCB to bend, potentially compromising contact between the GPU and the heatsink. In the case of AIB cards, I recommend getting into contact with the AIB partner (ASUS in your case) and asking them about the required thermal pad sizes. If they don't have an answer for you, take apart your card anyway, but carefully measure the thicknesses of the old pads with a caliper. The measurements should be accurate enough for determining the pad sizes that you need.
@silverpc46112 жыл бұрын
@@logangoskowicz5491 ya asus does not give out information the way i take it. I ordered 3 sizes between 1mm - 2.0mm, was thinking i might still order .5 mm
