Hi, the radio is very simple to use so great for a beginner. The power levels are all you really need for communicating locally or further afield. It has a nice build quality and sounds great on the air! I highly recommend ❤️ welcome to the hobby

Nice collection of radios have added a Sherman AV508 desktop microphone to my FT710 along with the correct AV73Y connection cable works very well just adjusted the Mic Gain have had a few comments on the audio quality being very good swapping back and forth between the standard mic they say the base mic added a lot of punch 73 26TG064 / M7CVK

The Washington is certainly the best modern radio I’ve owned. Its build quality is very good - Sideband is stable & bang on frequency from the box. The radio is also great on FM - the filters are very handy. You’ll be impressed for sure 👌 all the best brother 👍

I have the hr2510 great wee radio paired it up with an old single meter sadelta echo master .1st seen and herd the lincoln when i was 15 and wanted 1 i had just started playing with the ham intentional rigs and 148s .It was the 1st ssb rig i seen what had everything we wanted and the buttons done what they were ment to do .

Pretty much the same journey for myself. I simply could not believe how advanced the Lincoln was at the time. I’ve always used the Astatic 575 with the radio although loved the Sadelta too. Thanks for the comment ❤

Hi Paul all very very good at there price points. San Martin more expensive quality of finishing excellent. Addiesdive and Steeldive on par with each other. I like them to be honest not had a bad watch yet. Addiesdive if you can live with the name price wise offers slightly more - but prefer the Steeldive branding. Give them a go

They just allowed us in the States' to use FM on the 11 meter band. Why Cobra discontinued such a successful model i have no clue... I for one would have purchased one. Beautiful example! 73 de KF4LBG Florida sends you best wishes!

Did you pay any import fees and shipping costs? I guess no FM is not much of an issue these days, as it would be best utilised on SSB and AM with the solar cycle.

Yes I did pay import fees but the amount was tiny. Regarding FM yes pretty much dead now around here, I have other sets I could use if required. The 148 GTL / 2000 sounds beautiful on receive much better than the DX version. All the best
