Thanks for watching!!! I got the smaller plaid tins and the Merry Christmas boxes from Hobby Lobby during their 50% off Christmas sale. It may still be going on actually! Michaels had some really cute tins too and that’s where I got the green plaid top boxes with the black ribbon.

aloe juice sxorched with lye probably isnt effective after the lye has burnt the aloe ....just like when u put something unpasteurized and heat it on the stove, it looses all its good nutrition

good video. Love the color. 2 recommendations; strain the oil through a coffee filter. next on the frother, if when you are done you raise it up just above the liquid straight and down and hit the button once it cleans it.

I'm watching you add the mica colors. Since you're going to use the rubber spatula to mix after you add the color, you could use the spatula to get most of the color out of the pots instead of the popsicle stick. I know it probably doesn't make any difference, but why leave any behind if you can get almost all of it out with a spatula (and probably faster too). Love the outcome of your soap!☺

Not sure why I didn’t think of that! And I’ve been doing this for 10 years!!! Thanks for the tip! And thanks for watching! 🤩

Do you use water discount?
@HandmadebyAlicia Жыл бұрын
I use a water discount in most of my recipes. But the amount of water that's added is usually only a few teaspoons so I don't usually account for that. Thanks for watching!

Do you put your crockpot on high or low?
@HandmadebyAlicia Жыл бұрын
I had it on high for the beginning of the cook. After I saw the edges start to bubble and boil, I turned it down. 🙂

Hello thank you for your video. I tried premixing i have the beads in bottle and gave it a good shake however it separates when just sitting there and all the TD settled at the bottom of the bottle? What have i done wrong
@jgod122 жыл бұрын
Nothing the TD just disperses in the water, it doesn't actually dissolve.

what do you do if its oil based
@HandmadebyAlicia6 жыл бұрын
Nini Sparkle I've only used it once or twice before. In my personal experience, I prefer this method...I feel like it mixes easier. I don't have any experience premixing in oil, so you'd have to find better instruction than me for that. 😊

Hi, can I use this in melt n pour soap ?
@HandmadebyAlicia6 жыл бұрын
Ocean Queen I'm not sure. I rarely make melt and pour, so I don't really have any experience coloring it. But, I do know that there are colorants specifically formulated for melt and pour which would probably give you the best results. Thanks for watching!

how long does it keep once it's mixed, does it need to be refrigerated to stay fresh?
@HandmadebyAlicia7 жыл бұрын
It should keep for around a week. Any longer than that, and I refrigerate it. You could also add a preservative if you like, but I use mine up within a week of making it typically.
